WOULD A DRINK HELP?
By going back in our own drinking histories, we could show that years before we realized it we were out of control, that our drinking even then was no mere habit, that it was indeed the beginning of a fatal progression.

I second the Cetaphil face cleanser twice a day. I use a Clarisonic Mia exfoliator with the Cetaphil. Follow with salicylic acid toner at night.
Consider a moisturizer with retinol in it (anti wrinkle netrogena is my choice).
One word: acne.org.
After I graduated college, I developed this cystic acne all over my cheeks. I landed upon the above website, bought the regimen, and followed the steps religiously. Within a few months, my skin was on the road to looking MUCH better and eventually cleared up. It’s been years since I started that journey, and I still use a few products from their regimen. Highly recommend.

What about accutane? I grew into bad cystic acne over winter break my senior year of college. Literally it came out of no where. And I went on accutane for 6 months and my skin has been perfect since, I’m about to turn 31.
Also had a great experience on Accutane. I did 60 mg daily for 10 months which is pretty aggressive yet my symptoms were mild. So worth it.
Have you tried spirinolactone yet?
I took Spironolactone without BC and it worked wonders for my hormonal acne.
Cheek acne is usually diet/food sensitivities in my experience. Have you tried cutting out dairy? I cut out 95% of it about 6 months ago and now whenever I have it I break out on my cheeks like crazy. Prescription tretinoin (the lowest strength) daily and face oils have also done wonders for my skin
Unlikely, but did you get a hormonal iud or that bc rod in your arm during that time? some people break out like crazy from only having progesterone. I got an iud and immediately had awful acne all of my cheeks that I have never before had in my life. After two-3 months months I got the iud removed and it cleared it immediately
Go see a Dermatologist for god’s sake. They’ll know what to do, and it’ll likely be cheaper than trying everything Sephora recommends.
I am very extra about my skincare routine but I've had great success turning around really bad sensitive skin. Every morning and night I do the following:
1. Josie maran argan oil cleanser
2. Yes To coffee and coconut exfoliating scrub
3. Cetaphil cleaner
4. Toner - I experiment a lot. I think the body shop ones are my favorite
5. Moisturizer
And once a month I do the cult favorite aztec clay mask followed by a Korean sheet mask.
Only problem is now I'm addicted and if I don't do at least some of these things morning and night I break out pretty fast :(
The Aztec clay mask 🙏🙏
Have you tried clindoxyl? After everything else not working, this has been helping me over the past week
I have cheek acne and hormonal cystic acne (23F). I went to the derm and they gave me EpiDuo and an antibiotic lotion. I’m liking them so far and it’s only been one month.
The best cleanser I have found is La Roche-Posay. You can buy at local drug stores and Target.

I had this for a bit. I went to a Korean beauty store. The lady was like, ‘STOP everything you’re doing, only cleanse, use this toner and this cream.’ Saved me - kept on that routine for about a month. Revert back if I see signs of acne emerging.
Products:
1) Soon Jung Relief Toner
2) Dr. Jart Tiger Grass Repair Cream
Curology and monthly facials tamed my persistent hormonal and stress acne!
Update: I had a telemedicine appointment with a dermatologist a month ago (thanks for the push to go!). After seeing pictures of my skin, she prescribed me spironolactone without me mentioning it and Tazorac. I think my skin is in the “purging” phase because It’s week 4 and I’m still breaking out and more so in areas of my face that weren’t problem areas before. The derm encouraged me to continue treatment letting me know it gets better. Did anyone else go through purging and if so how long did it last?
Spironolactone. I used to get hormonal acne on my cheek area only. Derm and OBGYN both recommended Spironolactone and it’s worked wonders. I rarely get a zit anymore.
Spironolactone worked wonders for me. Started using last month, my skin is clearing up.
