I have just passed the phone screen for a job at YouTube (Google) and was wondering if anyone has any words of wisdom for the next stage?
They are very keen to fill the role and I am interviewing again in two days. Has anyone been through this process?
It is for a non-technical role. I am so excited and overwhelmed to have got to this point and want to put my best foot forward 🤞
I have a unique opportunity. I'm currently in fp&a but have accepted an offer to go back into FDD but my current company has counter offered to let me move into corp dev. (Didn't know they had an open position). I'd be coming in at the associate level in corp dev so I am slightly worried about slow progression compared to FDD. Opinions on what I should do?

I’m currently interviewing for a Program Manager role & the recommend level from my interviewers was L4. I have 11 years experience. I’ve worked on large complex highly visible projects for large companies (Fox, Disney, a few record labels). I’ve built out PMOs from scratch & I even launched my own CPG company a few years back & the products are widely distributed. I’m currently a Director of Project Management. For this reason L4 seems a bit low - any chance the level is negotiable?
I’m currently on contract with AWS, going on 6 months. I have 15 years experience as an IT Recruiter & am interested in applying for a full-time role with them. Does anyone know what to expect for compensation for someone with my years of experience. I know ranges are HUGE at AWS.

On a fast track for promotion, and also have a good standing/reputation already within my MM bank so far. I also have a complicated visa situation that my bank is handling.
Not closed off but not really set on PE or anything.
Is it still worth starting fresh and likely a delayed promo at an EB?

Any examples of a major company investing in master brand that benefited the greater portfolio of brands? Ideally with data to prove it worked
The famous examples I keep finding are Coca Cola's shift to investing in master brand circa 2016 but the soda category has gotten crushed ever since so it doesn't tell a great story. The other is Apple's master brand driving the success of headphones and watches but it's also easy to point to their ecosystem of lock-in as the bigger driver

How does it work if they raise a new fund later?

Any suggestions for a document management system for a very small in house team? Currently documents are stored in folders on the server or in people’s emails 😬. My goal is organization and efficiency so time isn’t wasted looking for docs. GC’s biggest concern will be budget. Don’t need any bells and whistles or features outside of doc repository at this point. Thanks!
My boss is bringing in another attorney who does the same work as me to our company. It is slow as is. I am concerned about what I will have to work on when he does this. It is a stable company, so I am not worried about job stability. Should I just make known my concerns that work volume is low, so why are they hiring someone else? I don’t want to lateral. I like the people despite there not being much work to do. Please let me know your thoughts on how I should approach this.

Has anyone heard about an offer for employment be rescinded because the background check showed a drivers license suspension 2 years ago due to a third party firm error not informing me on the results of the disputed ticket and requirement to pay ticket fees within specified time. The drivers license has since been in good order and is currently valid but the record shows a past suspension for a speeding ticket.
Just got a rejection after final round of interviews with a tech company. The recruiter called and gave positive feedback but indicated that no one was ultimately hired. He did not believe it was anything to do with me but rather, “issues on [Company A’s] side.” Does anyone know what that means? Should I even hold out hope that they’ll reconsider? The process was very intensive with about 6+ interviews with several written/verbal assessments. Not sure I want to start the process over

Anyone have any experience with going in-house to an investment bank? Are the hours really that much better than Biglaw, I assume it would depend on the where, but would appreciate any insight in general. Thanks!
Was told I was one of a few final candidates for a role, and that they were going to be ready to make a “very hard decision” by the end of last week. Have not heard anything. Safe to assume they made an offer and I’m just being put on hold until that person accepts or declines? Worth reaching out to the recruiter or pointless at this point?
Help! I got offered a starting salary of $140K, +15% bonus, + like 500 shares equity, for an in-house commercial contracts attorney role. I’ve been told by other attorneys there that most weeks are 50-60 hour weeks (much less than ideal as I have three very young children and am hoping to be more available to them). I have 10 years experience in house, 5+ years in commercial contracts. I think I should go back with at least $150k, but should I go even higher? Should I ask for a signing bonus?

Can we start a survey of in house counsel and whether equity is part of your comp? I’ve been interviewing at a few places and equity comp offers are all over the place (I.e. differences of hundreds of thousands of dollars). These are all publicly traded tech companies too, so I don’t really understand how they can be competing for talent if base is the same and equity offers range from 0 to 300k. Perhaps: size/type of company, market, equity (yes/no), and approx amount/vesting restrictions?
Moving for a new job. They gave me a lump sum to move and an HR person just reached out asking if I have any questions or need referrals for the area. What questions should I be asking? I guess a realtor would be helpful but other than that not sure what I should ask for help with.
