Hi fishes, what are the chances of Pwc AC rescinding an offer, given the market condition. The offer letter I have received seems to be generic and doesn't look it is for a specific project. The role seems to be generic. I am a little hesitant, specially because of HR's behaviour who doesn't seem to care responding to my queries and ignores all my emails and calls. Any advice?
Just a reminder..
Accenture does and I would love to write you a rec. PM me
Started at Deloitte OT&T and have spent the last 3 years in ACNs T&O practice. Returning to Deloitte in October. ACN is fine but the practice is much less mature than Deloitte’s. Credit where credits due, they are investing heavily in the practice but have a long way to go Additionally, be prepared for less money and way cheaper travel accommodations. They may lure you in with more money now, but if you’re in Consulting for the long haul, working at a public company is not the way to go.
Fair. But I hope they are being transparent re: travel. Once you hit Manager, the regional model isn’t as strictly followed. And if there’s nothing local, you’re traveling anyway
I’m upset because I love Deloitte, but I know I’m underpaid, and I don’t want to have to leave, but PWC’s people analytics practice keeps pinging me for roles, kind of hard to ignore it at this point
Have you talked to PWC?
I’d say the PA practice is strong and crazy busy. It’s not my group, but I know a lot of the team. Also will say we are CRAZY garbage at recruiting, I’m very often horrified by our process and lack of professionalism, that being said, I’m actually being recruited by Deloitte and their process is a bit of a mess as well, they’ve been blaming everything on summer vacations but they’re recruiting me and have been left hanging a bunch though the lead P is telling me they are very interested and trying to expedite. 🤔
EY has an analytics group within people advisory (HR) practice, generally based out of DC but exceptions might be possible. DM me if you're interested.
As for the recruiting experience, I had a pretty good one with our recruiter when I joined 2 years ago. I also interview candidates and can attest to how quickly we come to a decision that then translates to action by recruiting.
OP, the 80% is a CYA number. There is always the possibility of being on a full time travel project so that's why we say that officially.
Yes, I'm talking about Muir's group and he is pretty awesome.
D1, I know there are one or 2 analytics ppl who are not located in DC but definitely the exception. If your skillset is impressive enough, then location may be negotiable. Great q for the recruiter, not me lol bc it depends on what their hiring needs are right now.
Where you based, or want to work?
