I’d like to just brag a bit about how flexible and understanding my firm has been for this upcoming busy season as a new mom. I was so nervous but they’ve really got my back!

I feel like my track record of saying "yes" to everything is coming back to bite me. I'm glad pp recognize me as a team player & know they can lean on me, but I'm now swamped with side projects w/ quick TATs, ON TOP of my reg work for clients. How do u say "I physically can't do all of this" without disappointing some1? Something's gotta give, at this point, as I'm burning weekend hrs to keep up. But I fear losing my rep as a hard worker.

What's up ppls

Suppose you are 3 months pregnant and interviewing for a job. Would you disclose to the recruiter that you are expecting or is there no need to give that information until after being hired? As for the compensation, if you’ve already been told pre-interview, the salary range for the role, is it appropriate to negotiate a number for the salary if you are asked your desired salary in the first screening interview? Or should you try to hold off on the negotiation after you receive an offer?

I received an offer for a job. It is WAH but WAH information states that you need to arrange for childcare during working hours. Has anyone been successful with navigating around this? I feel that I am fully capable of taking care of my baby while working. Also, it is not that easy to quickly get child care arrangement situated. Anyone else in a similar situation?

Breastfeeding moms working remotely - how can I manage nursing during the work day?

I have a pretty flexible schedule so I'm able to take breaks for nursing, but what do I do when I have meetings and need to skip or stay off video? My team knows I'm still nursing but is it appropriate to say I can't make it because of a feed?

Back at work since a week and struggling with the work-life balance....

Not sure what the best path forward is but just got out of a week of in person meetings- did not want to go but was told that it would be a bad look to not go (I operate somewhat outside of my business group) by my mgr and mgr said it was important for us to meet for us to feel more comfortable working together. I then go and mgr avoids me the entire time (after requests to meet and level set on priorities). Do I address head on? It felt physically uncomfortable to be around this person.

Hey ladies. I had a miscarriage July 2021 and my cycle started back up not long after. Then in January it just stopped. It’s been 3 months without my period and not sure what could be causing it (I’m not pregnant). My diet hasn’t changed and neither has my activity. I run marathons but I’ve been doing that for years now and it’s never impacted my period prior. I have an appointment to see my OB in a week but wondering if any of you experienced this.

I (36F) am married to another woman (34F) and we have a baby (5moF). We split all childcare, cleaning, meal prep, errands etc fairly evenly and it works well. Maybe she cooks more than I do bc she likes it, and I clean more bc I need to have a clean house. My friend (35F) recently took a business trip and literally put a binder together with instructions for her husband re: daycare drop off and pick up, what to feed the kids, when to take out the trash and so on. What is a useful, comprehensive but not too long of a book for parenting toddlers?

LO is 16 months old, very sweet and social, at the park every day with other kids with either me or her nanny. Not in day care. Yesterday we had a play date and she slapped another baby on the head. Not hard and did not scare her, but the act of “aggression” took me by surprise and I felt terrible about it. I’d like to be more proactive about toddler psychology, what’s to come and how to react/ teach. TY!

Rant: I finally got a baby registry started and sent the link to family... and immediately was told all the things I need on there that I don't have (including things I'm opting to just NOT GET, like an electric pump - why is my nursing preference up for debate????). I hate it already. I'm tempted to take it down, buy it all myself and just tell people to start a college fund if it bothers them.

I'm 38, have had 4 miscarriages and the PRESSURE OF THIS PREGNANCY is unreal.
