I’d like to put my student loan payments in a safe etf/fund until the interest freeze stops. Any advice on a good place to put it?

hate liberals. just so unfair to the rest of us who actually repaid our loans. or the newbies who will
still owe on new loans years from now.

Taking out loans is always a risk that you willingly took, P1. Don’t blame a political party for loan forgiveness when astronomical loans should not even be apart of the educational system. If anything, blame privatization of colleges and decreased govt funding to public schools for absurdly high tuition rates.

HYSA. I would also say ibonds but they're locked for 12 months. ETFs are not safe in a short time frame. Maybe a small portion into crypto stablecoins if you're okay with that. I have a little there.

HYSA. Unknown when the freeze will end.

This is what I’m thinking. I can make any payments out of my salary so the exit horizon isn’t really an issue.

I was up till 4am last night and 3am the night before and here I am wide awake again (and i’m not on my phone the whole time, i’ll pick it up after a couple hours bc I’m so bored). It doesn’t help that my husband can literally fall asleep in seconds and snores so loud. He is even sleeping in the guest room tonight bc I have an impt meeting in morning but I still can’t fall asleep. Even took a melatonin a couple hours ago. Help!!!

new to investing. have done some research - reading blogs and a few books on investing. Example, would you invest in VTSAX across a brokerage and roth account, or would you take a different approach for each account?

Any market considerations before refinancing my student loan with current rates? They’re giving me a .75-1% drop.

It’s worth it to refinance at this rate to save paying $1000 of interest albeit credit gets hurt. My only concern is missing out on inevitable lower rates forthcoming.

I have a lot of student debt from law school. I’ve refinanced a couple of times and received the best fixed rate available, but I’ve seen others refinance with a variable rate which of course is lower. I’ve read some other comments of people refinancing at a super low variable rate....isn’t this risky? Of course I am afraid of going variable and then the interest rates going up a lot. Am I missing something?

Already have 20% down, but considering putting less. All closing fees are also covered. Is this a good idea or should just wait?
