I'd love to hear about what people are doing to stand out in providing feedback for candidates who made it to the final interview stage but did not make the offer.

Is PWC takes too much time for selection process? or am I rejected?
Let me know your experience/suggestions.

Currently working as an estimator for Progressive. I work from home 100% of the time from the Boston area. I am looking for any in-site into other work from home insurance jobs. I’m starting to explore new companies but places all tend to have their own wording for what they call a position. Looking for ideas on what they pay as well. Let’s be real, nobody likes wasting time on a application and interview to get a lower offer. Thank you.

I recently interviewed at a fast growing pre-IPO company for a Strategic PM role and I was sold that the comp should be around $180-200k plus RSU which should be about $300k annualized TC if all goes well. I have 14 years YOE in tech, but this would be my first intro to PM roles. How much signing bonus is reasonable to ask for if I am giving up on equity and quarterly commission pay to leave my current company?

Anyone have undesirable side effects from the meds that you take for depression or anxiety? How do you cope with them? For me, the side effects are the lesser of two evils, because the meds themselves are working for me.

I take Bupropion (Wellbutrin), and is effective in helping me with my depression, but the side effect that I experience, memory issues, is pronounced and bothersome. My psychiatrist and I tried reducing my dosage, and it lessened the side effect, but it became quite clear that I needed to revert to my normal dosage to address my depression.

At one point we tried a "cocktail" by adding a small dose of Abilify, but that med was disastrous for me, and I needed to curtail it for my own well being (YMMV).

Best job to get to transition into HR?

Does anyone know where to start in HR please?

My goal role in 5 years let’s say is Chief People Officer / People & Culture Director, etc.

My background is 12+ years in customer/client experience, coaching, sales, and account management. I’m finishing a Lv7 executive coaching course and starting a CIPD Lv5 people management course.

Any ideas on what roles I can start with? Don’t care if it’s a simple role, getting in with a good company is important.

Thinking about hiring and how to grow a startup and when to add specific roles/what levels, and how to include leaders in the org design - any resources or bibles here?

Interested to see some perspectives - currently working at a Payroll & Benefits Specialist at a fast growing company and recently passed my PHR! I just started this role only a few months ago but am already feeling like I can take on more, but not as much as a HR manager. I’m struggling to understand where exactly it is I can go from here. I’m 25, have 3 years of experience, and get paid $59k/year.

Where does one go from here? Thanks in advance for any and all answers!

I think (fingers crossed) that I am about to get a job offer for a management role. It would be a 45 percent pay increase and I honestly might be able to negotiate it to up to 55, but I just don’t feel excited about it. It’s a smaller company then where I am now, but still a decent size and great reputation, but the team is much smaller. I really want to be more excited because I know it’s a good opportunity. Any advice?

L&D professionals, how often do you expect your employees to participate in soft skill training?

A VP wants our employees going through monthly soft skills training on widely divergent topics, mandatory attendance. I think it will feel like a good investment initially, but the employees are going to get overloaded with information and not have an opportunity to put what they're learning into practice leading to poor ROI. It would help to hear other's findings so we can decide. Thanks!

Got a job last year as VP of HR reporting directly to the president. Less than 6 months later they have me reporting to the VP of Finance/COO. I was mad but decided to work through it. Its getting to be unbearable now, the COO is now treating me like one his AVPs. I feel like he his admin spy on my team and he’s always checking to see if me or my team is in the office. Now he has his people send me emails (he’s copied) on problems (to build a case against me etc). Am I paranoid/overreacting?

I’m mid-level in my HR career at my current company and an upcoming Master’s graduate. Studying for my SHRM-CP too. How did you make the transition to that next level?
