Personally, I enjoy product work. Research has shown that doing work incrementally, with the ability to check off tasks as you go, releases dopamine and can stimulant an ADHD brain.

I have a good work-life balance, too, which is key.

Make sure you’re taking time to get some fresh air and exercise. That can vastly improve your symptoms and make the work day more manageable.

Following as well!

I have been in consulting since I left school (4 years). However, I was more successful in school as my degree was in Information Technology.

Having the ability to toy/break/fix things always kept me engaged compared to “make this slide pretty.”

Do you have any interest in tech?

like

Social impact is my biggest interest but I think from a commercial perspective it would be Tech because of the possibilities.

I worked on a trading desk for 6 years out of school. Looking back I was able to hyperfocus for 1-2 mins and execute the task and then move onto the next. It was only when I pivoted to consulting that I sought help for my ADHD.

I enjoy ERP consulting. It's interesting to gather requirements with clients and then build out an ERP system. And then when things aren't working or there are post-go-live requests, it's fun to research fixes and test things out in Sandbox. It's like a puzzle game

Anything monotonous. I worked in a lab for 3 years after undergrad. Never needed my drugs because I wasn’t using my brain

Yup that’s why I left! I also wanted a little challenge. Thankfully all my coworkers were young so our convos kept things interesting. It helped

Consulting

I haven't called them dumb. I explained myself a few times.
That said Are we so afraid of stating generally that if you are not bright consulting is going to be hard? Why is that offensive? If you're tall being a jockey is hard, if your short playing pro bball is hard, etc.

Need some moral support. Blood pregnancy test is Monday. Frustrated that my husband is not as anxious as me, especially since he’s the one that wanted me to go through this in order to have his dna run through our child’s veins (im perfectly fine with adoption). 28 follicles, 19 mature eggs, 16 fertilized, 10 made it to day 5, 5 were euploid and 4 of those carry the kidney disease trait he has in his family. It’s been a long mental and physical journey. I need to stay busy this weekend.

Pre Covid I lived in a big city, liked work, had a close group of friends and went out a fair amount.
During Covid I became a nomad, solo traveled, and was very active; hiking, exploring the world and meeting new people.
Post Covid or now: I feel like im at a crossroads. I’m seriously saying someone and looking to move to their small mountain town. Ik the outdoorsy life is more me but I feel like I’m choosing between lifestyles and I have to pick one.

2Y MBA here will be joining McKinsey next year after graduation. I just got an email from McKinsey HR saying my background and social media checks are cleared. However, it is also mentioned in the email that aside from the MBA degree verification after my graduation, “a reinvestigation may also be required If your initial background screening has cleared more than 60 days prior to your start date.” Do they really do background checks again? It takes a long time lol.

When you invest in a franchise opportunity, the parent company frequently provides developmental support, such as technology, marketing strategy, training, and general business advice. Rather than risking developing a new brand and experimenting with marketing strategies, you can invest in a franchise and gain access to the franchisor's tried-and-true techniques as well as a network of other franchise owners. Trump’s defense = 🤡🤡 Agree that politicians often use fiery language, but when that language comes from a POTUS and results in the ransacking of the Capitol and the deaths of many folks, all the while the POTUS does nothing about it (in fact seems to revel in it) for several hours....then there’s a problem.

Would you have any recommendations to better evaluate add/adhd or manage it at this point of time?

Ofc I am going to get professional help in due course but just wanted to know from you all.

Any Deloitte fishes out there that have analyzed the health benefit options for Vyvanse coverage? Both me and my daughter take Vyvanse and I have been burned by plan coverage/prescription benefits in the past. I think the PPO plans actually end up cheaper, all other variables removed.
