Idk why but I feel so tired and sad all the time lately. I was ok pre COVID then a year and a half in I felt like I lost myself completely. This year felt like another notch lower.

Been trying hard to manage my manic depression through other means but now im this close to just chugging a ton of meds. Im scared of weight gain side effects though - already put on a lot of weight over the pandemic.

I’m sorry OP. It’s rough. I also am experiencing frequent identity crises and panic attacks. To cope I’ve turned to enjoying things that I love, like hiking and exercising, but also unhealthy things like weed and alcohol.
I don’t have an answer for you, but want to empathize by letting you know you’re not alone.

I have a senior director who needs a PIP. Plan was to meet w him today to start phase I (formal Learning Plan). Got a Teams msg middle of the night that he's in ER w gma. Ordinarily, I'd wait a few days at least, but the performance issues are real, have been going on (despite feedback and support) for months, and impact rest of team. I have COVID for the first time rn, but I'm currently in MBB case interview mode, so I want to give my body time to sleep so I can rest and do well, but even with sleep aids, my mind is wide awake and wants to convert random improper fractions to decimals in my head, market sizing drills, and more 🤕

I'm cutting back to my usual dose of D3 because I think the higher COVID dose is disrupting my sleep, but how else do you recommend shut down your mind when your ADHD mind won't turn off work.

I'm a US citizen living abroad I applied almost 11 months ago for my spouse. Married for years, kid. I wait and wait. It seems this will take 2 years, maybe more. I feel trapped. On one side the US system demands I work and domicile in US, the other side says families should be prioritized to stay together. My spouse has had enough of the process. My American citizen 8 month old is on tourist visa in India; current stay runs out on June 7. Flying outside the country is a risk we don’t want to take w/COVID. Don’t want to overstay the visa either. So we applied online on eFRRO to convert his visa to X-1 so we can apply for his OCI. 2) Do I need to go to base location to collect laptop or do they courier? How many days they will give if on location pickup for laptop is there to collect laptop after joining?

Hi, I did interview with amazon.

Round 1: HR round. cleared.

Round 2: Hiring manager round. Went well.

After 2 weeks they said Role no longer available. It was L5 supply chain role. This happened in April. Can I apply again in Amazon? Wow…covid is really over. I live in a rural area where we knew covid was happening but it never really impacted the community or daily life. However when I’d go into the city it was very very obvious there were huge life impacts and fear. I just went into the city for the first time in about 3 months and it’s like covid never happened. It makes me wonder how many other things that have drastically changed (like wfh and hand sanitizer) will go back to normal as people go back to normal.

My first therapy appointment tomorrow! I’ve never dealt with depression before having my second kid and my PPD was/is rough! Filling out the intake form I basically had to list out all the things I’ve dealt with - rape, mom issues, death in family during pandemic, kid hit by car, ppd, and a slew of over things… looking forward to working through these things over time, whatever that might look like.

How do you deal with irrational anxiety whenever your boss is saying “hey let’s schedule 1:1, I’ve got a few things to discuss”? I’ve never had a bad performance rating before, quite the opposite I have received positive feedback. I also know 99% of the time this meeting is harmless and my anxiety has been proven wrong many times. But I’m still always on edge whenever this kind of meeting is scheduled. 😩
