If a biglaw recruiter hasn’t responded to 3 emails sent days ago re: my application after callbacks, should I assume it’s a rejection?

I’d treat it as such so you don’t get your expectations too high, but after callbacks the partners are the ones making a decision.

And they’re busing playing golf and drinking whiskey on a Wednesday afternoon, so it might take a while. Your recruiter probably has no news to share yet

They will let you know if there’s an offer or a next interview. They don’t without that. Firms often don’t give outright rejections and don’t say why. Every interaction Is considered part of the interview process, emailing them multiple times knowing they will reach out with any updates can ding you for culture fit.

They probably haven't made a decision yet, but they should at least let you know that.

3 emails?

No, some firms take forever to respond. I was closing out a candidate who had 5 offers from Big Law firms and one of the firms, responded that they were just writing her an offer letter, one month after call backs.

Does it mean anything specifically when a company/firm reposts their position? I went on a phone screen and it went really well (so I thought) and got the interview with a AmLaw200 firm. I thought the interview went okay but then 8 days later no contact and I saw that they reposted the position. I’ve had my position for almost 8 months and I’m ready to leave but that’s another story.

Is this happening because there are so many attorneys out there that the recruiters don't have to cultivate relationships and be professional?
