Amazon Hi all, so I'm interviewing for Associate Cloud App Dev, A2C ProServe. I was wondering if anyone could provide insight on what the process is like? The recruiter said 80% behavioral and 20% technical. So, will they be testing cloud knowledge?
My background is mostly MERN focused on React/Node.js. I'm open to learning, but am I super out of my depth?
In my experience that’s the “interview” where a team will decide if your a good fit socially so as long as you fit in it’s very likely you will get an offer. 95%
It's not a bad sign, but I've interviewed at companies that fly you out for an in person interview and you can expense it back to them later. So it's not a sure thing either. Do your best

It is a good sign. If they are willing to spend the $1000s to pay to fly you out then it is because they believe you are a good candidate and will make it past the interviews. I'd put he odds 50-60%.
You still need to prove yourself. Don't assume you have the job just because they flew you out.
Unless they're flying you via jet blue... lol does that still exist?
I got flown out twice in my career when I was interviewing to move cross country. Both ended up offers but one offer got rescinded because they lost the account I was supposed to work on.
We flew someone out to take that final initiative of making sure they were a great fit for the team. Interviews went great, but during dinner, the candidate became too comfortable, and we ended up not hiring them. While it's a great sign that they are flying you out, don't feel like you're done. You will need to show professionalism throughout.
Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for sharing!
I worked somewhere that would fly people out all the time and still not hire any of the people. I think they realized their process was expensive and time consuming and they changed it. So it could go either way. Don’t coast, continue to put best foot forward.
