Moms with multiple kids and both parents working outside of home full time - how do you manage the normal stuff in the home that keeeps it going? Grocery, cooking, laundry, cleaning, regular upkeep? Confession Bowl in a Nutshell:

Hope it’s ok posting this here, I’m just feeling down.
My best friend since we were about 6 years old is getting married. She asked my twin sister to be her bridesmaid, but not me. She said it was hard choice (i understand, she has other close friends) and she wants to still be apart of her day as a “female usher”.
I’ve never really heard of a female usher. Is this something any of you have seen before? Gonna be honest - I’m feeling a little down that she didn’t ask me but i know it’s limited
Is it true that once we do any training in Bosch for a project we cannot leave the company for one year o/w we have to pay the training amount which is very high.?

I have recently rejected an offer because of this.

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.
Has anyone switched an exam appointment from one section to another? Assuming I have both NTS available. How should I go about this? Through NASBA or Prometric?
Hello. I am looking for new opportunities as a TPM. I came across a role at dropbox that I think would be a perfect fit. Would anyone be willing to provide me with a referral? Much appreciated!

How much do you think the government could accomplish if they had the in house development power that FAANG companies do?
What’s the latest on merit budgets in the sector? Are folks still sticking with 3% even with high inflation? I know some surveys have shown upticks to 3.5%-4%, and some anecdotal observations of 5% in the private sector. What are you fish seeing this spring as merit budgets?

Service differences: Currently based at an army service component, which suboptimal. Could shift to similar roles at a Navy component or a geographic COCOM. Any thoughts on how the culture differs? Army culture where I am is lacking any ambition and is a bit soul destroying.

A question for any international fishes who have completed a MPP in the US.
I’ve got an offer but no financial aid/scholarships. There’s a good chance I’ll lose my offer if I try to defer and save more money. In order to go this year I’ll need to take out more than 100k in loans.
For anyone who has taken this route, is it something that is manageable in the long run or does it ruin your life?
Context - U.K. students are not offered support from the US government or our own - loans are private

I’m looking to transition into the private sector. My experience is in grants management, labor law discrimination, workforce development, private-public partnership, and general business operations. I’m a GS15 and worked in the 201 and 301 job series. Would a transferable lateral be to HR and at what level? I don’t have experience in compensation or benefits however.
I have a case interview for a Strategy Consultant role at Deloitte GPS. Can anyone give me some insight into the process? Will it be government-focused? Anything in particular I can prepare for? Thanks!
Trying to evaluate monetary offers is difficult since I receive a significant bonus for maintaining my clearance (120k + 30k for the clearance). So I’m evaluating a non-cleared offer for 180k. I don’t want to hold the clearance anymore. Should I evaluate it against the 120 or the 150 in terms of answering the question “is the jump big enough to leave?” With bonus and without clearance, it’s a 40% or so jump, but only a 12-15% jump with only bonus and base included.

as a 14 they’d typically have management experience and be making at least 120k, so it’d make sense to be a manager or well-compensated senior/subject matter expert. Haven’t personally seen many people make the move from that level.
Senior Associate. By way of experience, resume, etc you’d think manager but I’d be wary of hiring a Fed in at that level.
Yep - Senior Associate on the high end of the pay band. We’ve done the same with GS15s
