Dude, we can’t even all collectively agree that if a woman is putting her life at risk carrying a baby that she is allowed to not have the baby.

P1 I didn't say that doing everything to save the child was the definition of an abortion, I said it was part of the pro life argument. Pro life doesn't mean kill the mother at the expense of the baby it means save the mother then do anything you can to save the baby instead of letting it die. I'd suggest having a conversation with someone on the other side of the isle instead of creating false dichotomies.

Pretty sure the baby would pick having a loving and caring mother and potentially a larger family down the road instead of never having existed in the first place.
The choice should remain the mother's and we should always be biased towards preserving life.
Also, a guy who impregnated a woman and then refuses to live up to his responsibility for the consequences isn't the kind of person who should get to make decisions about what happens to someone else's body.
How is it possible for something that does not exist to have preference over whether it should exist? This is absurd on the grounds of elementary logic - existence is a prerequisite for sentience, which is a prerequisite for the ability to have an opinion and preference. That which does not exist cannot wish it did. There is nothing there to do the wishing. Furthermore, you're assuming that having existed is by definition better than never having existed, which is 1) an absurd discussion to have and 2) an indefensible position - existence implies non-zero level of suffering (on a sliding scale that can go from "decent life with minor disappointments" to "living hell", and is largely outside of one's control), whereas nonexistence by definition implies nothing
Youngest of 3 and my parents stopped being parents around the time I was in middle school. Both my much older siblings sort of took on certain roles for me. If you are together and accidentally get knocked up, you don’t HAVE to have another kid. Cause now I have two parents who never wanted me but I’m successful enough they now want relationships w me even though I don’t recall many positive moments with them growing up.
Oh not tryna get sympathy - just putting a similar spin on what OP said
