If a recruiter slides into your LinkedIn DMs with a job opportunity, is it appropriate to ask what the salary range might be in my reply? I wouldn’t want to waste their time or mine by interviewing unless I had reason to believe the salary may be higher than my current position, so wondering if cutting to the chase is reasonable, or frowned upon.

Anyone here know what total compensation is for a Strategy Associate role at Deliveroo in London? Would be great if you could please provide breakup by salary, cash bonus and stock options. Guys I’ve done something bad. Like many people, I left the big city and went to my parents to ride out the pandemic. And like many families, we adopted a dog, 15 months old. We didn’t change his name. But, he’s a big, 75lb doodle, as goofy as it gets. So I’ve been calling him “Idiot,” but with a super endearing tone - I of course love the dog. I gave my step brother $20k in March to help buy his 2nd investment property. We agreed that he would return the money in Dec. He reassured me all the time when we spoke that he would pay me back and that he was very grateful for my help. Our parents just had a nasty break up after almost 20 yrs together. I recently spoke to him about getting my money back next month and he claimed that I gifted it to him and nothing is in contract so he doesn’t owe me anything. I feel so stupid and used. WWYD?
