Quite a hypothetical. China offering a rushed vaccine => probably not. US/UK/pharma giant offering a vaccine after 6+ months of trial => definitely. It's too early to say at the time.
And Taiwan got there by not trusting the communist party and blocking flights ASAP. Lesson learnt.
... maybe. It really depends on the context, like others have said.
The problem is that I just flat out don’t trust Trump. He’s poisoned the well. I can see the world pouring in tons of money for a vaccine, and it being a success and a triumph!
I can also see something half-baked coming out, Trump telling everyone to get it and crowing about how amazing it is, and then it turns out to be ineffective at best, toxic at worst.
And before you call me partisan, that’s EXACTLY what happened with hydroxychloroquine!
Sigh. Maybe. I don’t know. I don’t hate him, but... God he is just so uninspiring. His main campaign promise seems to be “magically make it 2010 again”
It’s like downloading a new iOS. I’m going to wait for everyone to do it first then install it later
Next year, yes, if it has gone through all the necessary testing.
If something came out this year, probably not as it would be too rushed. Not that I am qualified to make such statements, as I have no medical credentials.
Dr Fauci has said by Jan we should have at least 200 million doses of vaccine. It isn't hypothetical and it will be here a lot sooner than next spring.
yes, I'll take it. Yes, there are risks, because I love my country and I'm not adverse to take risks to move the ball forward.
MP1, please tone down the patriotic grandstanding. We’re all just people
A vaccine for racism? Hell yea
I'd take it in a heartbeat.
I’ll do my part and get it early.

You’ll never have a firm that will force vaccinations as a precursor to traveling. This isn’t like public schools that require vaccinations before a child can attend. That said, I would really need to be convinced that the vaccine is safe, considering how quickly it’s being made. Additionally, I would be happy to not travel anymore for work either
I'm getting it as early as I can, if it's from US / UK / EU. I feel like if it's passed those trials and regulations, I'm safer getting the vaccine than the risk from contracting COVID-19.

No.
No, given how anti-science and pro-profit our society is, I would be the absolute last person in line after any vaccine is distributed.
