What kind of $/% jump did you receive with your promotion from associate to senior? Coming up on a review and want to be prepared. NJ/NY area
Not dick measuring but really curious on what the % raise you've gotten the past 2 years. Gotten 4% and 3% here and feeling like I'm getting screwed over.
I’m at the Promotion Day celebration at Park Grill (Chicago). I came because I needed to go to Office to return my old Laptop. It’s loud and crowded. I’m never in the Office so I don’t know anyone. :(
Seniors in your promotion year to Manager - don’t backstab your peers. This promotion will mean nothing a few years down and you’ll find yourselves working together again. Relationship vs Tittle!
What's the best way to ask for a raise? Getting paid 71k with a masters working in advisory 3 years exp
How does the SA to consultant promotion work? What should I be doing to prep for it and guarantee it (considering external factors)?
Would you move from D to other Big 4 with only 20k raise (115 -> 135k)? Assuming you need to restart GC process from scratch a year after joining
Do laterals make you look like you failed to get a promotion? I’m up for promotion, have a great story and strong performance; a good opportunity to lateral came up at a much better firm - but promotions are so random and shrouded in secrecy at my company that I kinda want to join a better firm while I can.
Will be promoted to manager effective 10/1. If round 1 apps are due in September for certain schools should I wait until round two when my title has taken effect? Or apply round 1 noting the promotion is official just not yet effective?
What is the best way to ask my boss about my trajectory towards a promotion? I did mediocre work last year and decent work this year. Hoping to kill it ASAP and get more responsibilities. MUCH THANKS
If you started working at a company for like a year as a staff level, for example 2019-present, and this is reflected on LinkedIn, do you guys update any promotions to show it as (the date or year of promotion) -present... or just show it as 2019-present? I’ve seen people do the latter more but is that even right?
You started at a new role/company 2 months ago that is +50% your previous TC, a level promotion, and you’re happy with the team and scope. However you’re also currently in a long distance relationship with a SO you love and have been with for 4 years. The relationship is starting to crack and moving abroad to be with her seems like the best decision to kee the relationship. How would you play this out sirs/maams? Ask manager to work abroad and quit if they reject it? Thx for the feedback 😔
Hi all, would love to get your opinion on an estimated market rate for a employee like me, as I’m thinking about asking for a raise in January but haven’t done this before. 1 YOE TS/SCI Full-Scope Clearance 1/2 thru Masters program (Analytics Georgia Tech) Been lead data scientist on team for 5+ months 2 AWS and Tableau cert (sorry had to throw that in there lol) I know this is a tough task without all the context but I’m currently making $95k and that seems to be the lowest on my team.
Has anyone in the WPP network been promised a promotion/raise and then suffered through the annual Q4 “cash push” freeze? Did you finally get it in Q1? If so, when? Was it worth the wait?
Biden calls Arizona "an important city" during an interview. Truly unfortunate the Democrats continue with the elder abuse of making him go through with this campaign. This is like checking a guy out of the nursing home and dropping him off in a random place and letting him wander off. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DAQXHn5-igKw&ved=2ahUKEwi3u8PZm-zqAhWRlnIEHa3WDVUQtwIwBXoECAYQAQ&usg=AOvVaw0n02Rz7lmrrFbu8N2kAuvq&cshid=1595811150099
For those in KPMG, I was referred a few weeks ago and haven’t had any contact. 3 yoe with Deloitte, cyber certs, and a clearance. Is it normal to have a long delay? I only ask because it seems there is a recruiting push and it’s odd no one contacted me yet.
What salary should a newly promoted tax director at a Big Four expect to make in Florida?
Well folks according to Bloomberg, AT Kearney and Strategy& put everyone to dust for median pay for all Companies. Mck and BCG were there. No Bain or other Big 4. Google and Facebook also very strong.
How to keep mother and MIL apart? Wedding in 7 weeks, moms hate each other. Both sets of parents live close by. Dreams of having them all get along in the future have been reduced to dust. Now just trying to make it through the wedding and keep them apart for the rest of my life. And pray they let me and my husband build our own lives.
That moment when you hear someone from Accenture Strategy say “yeah I’m in the top group within Strat. It’s the same thing as MBB” 🙄
You know public accounting has taken over your life when your colleague says he got engaged and you say “oh yea what client?”
Let’s meditate for our health...
What are the differences in work between EY audit in the US and EY in European countries? Are workloads as big and stressful?
Can anyone provide a referral for QA or Functional and Automation tester(3 years of experience). I have been applying at multiple places from past few months but have yet not heard anything back. Please provide your email id in the comments so that i can email my resume. Thankyou.
Anyone feel like it’s gender wars in the consulting bowl right now? I know we’ve linked to a couple of them but they just keep coming and the loudness of it is frightening
Hi all. Need an advice. I got a job as front end developer in pharma advertising agency 3 years ago. Started at 65k yearly salary. Next year got a raise to 80. A year after I was told I am good to be senior front end developer but my manager asks me to wait a whole year without title change or salary change just because he has been asking to much for me. Is it normal? Or should I just switch? Thank you all
After your first job, how relevant is GPA. For context, I went to a school that is very well known for grade deflation (Deloitte had a “suggested” minimum of 3.2 here) and I studied statistics, a particularly rough major at the school. Long story short, GPA was between a 2.9 and 3.0. This wasn’t due to slacking and I’ve done well at Deloitte so far with plenty of experience to speak to. Would my GPA still block me from certain firms, like any of the MBB firms or a Tier 2 consulting firm?
Any insights into expected salary range for a Sales Consultant (L9) in Boston at Accenture ?
How likely is it to internally transfer between Big 4 advisory practices that have zero overlap in transferrable skills? Trying to get into B4 valuations by self studying for CFA/teaching myself the required skills and networking, but unsure of what my realistic chances are since I have no relevant prior exp. Assume my engagement reviews are stellar, can this happen?
