Hotel recs for a holiday in Cancun?
Thoughts on whether or not travel requirements prohibit women from excelling in consulting. I have to rule out entire companies to apply to in fear of obscene travel requirements since I have two young children.
I don't understand why the receptionist at the Westin was confused when I asked for Pokécoins for my Platinum gift
What is the best Hilton in Orlando. We have stayed at Hilton Orlando and love it but am wondering about the others. Lake buena vista or bonnet creek or Waldorf? Or maybe doubletree? We are looking to stay for 5 nights on points and would need connecting rooms. Looking for a good pool, decent restaurants.
Has anyone tried italic’s pillows? It’s a membership-only e-commerce site and they claim that their pillows are the same quality as the Ritz Carlton pillows. Would appreciate any feedback!

Trying to check out from a St Regis property and they’ve added a $365/day “room charge - echannel retail” charge to our bill, it’s made our $1100 bill for resort fees/food/drinks jump to $2960 - any advice? What is this charge?
Anybody who successfully requested expedited EAD/AP processing? I will likely incur in a significant financial loss next year due to 6-9 months of unpaid leave while waiting for EAD. And obviously stuck in the country with no ability to travel internationally.
🐟 fam! I have a connection of about 40 minutes at Denver airport. Will I make it? Flying United for both legs if that helps.
Hotel guest before me had a message she didn't listen to from a guy leaving his cell number. Remember to delete your messages... or just don't have people call your hotel room 😂
With the Chase Sapphire card now offering 5x points booked through their portal, is it worth it to book all travel through them? Or is it better to have flexibility with the airlines and 2x points when booked directly?

Any insight into Mckinsey's Agile practice? Clients, day-to-day work, travel, etc... Thanks!
It seems like both on here and TLS there has been a lot of discussion lately of non-legal exit ops with a biglaw corporate background, and especially from a v10. Most of the discussion is centered on finance and investing roles in NYC. The conclusion is typically that it is very difficult but doable with the right background and luck. I’m curious if anyone has been able to lateral from a v10 to a non legal role in a smaller market where their experience stands out more than in NYC?
Cool side effect of WFH: randomly bursting into tears thinking about how much I love my cat.

I posted a few weeks ago about an awesome interview I had for a dream job with the CEO of a company. I had a follow up interview with someone else and just found out I didn’t get it. I’m crushed and doubting myself. Did I come across too strong? Was I way too eager? Do I have no skills? I feel like I’ll be stuck in consulting forever and I’m worried I burned a bridge.
Asking for a upcoming college grad friend - what are your thoughts on tattoos in the workplace? If they have a small tattoo behind their ear, would it be best to just get it removed? I’ve only been working for a year and it’s been 100% remote so wanted to get some opinions

I’m 9 days out from a desperately needed week-long vacation. I’m so unbelievably burned out that I can’t focus. I have so much to do before my trip, but I can’t seem to get anything done. I just sit at my desk and stare at my computer. Any recommendations for how to force myself to be productive for the next week or so?

I botched the salary expectations part in my recruiter screening (accidentally said over what the role range was). I thought that would end my chances. But after resetting my expectations first, the recruiter is still moving me on to the next interview. My question is, will the senior managers i interview with now hold a bias against me for asking for too much initially? Company is PwC

Here’s a controversial topic: Opinions on working over 40 hours a week when you’re a salary employee? IMO, if I’m not getting paid hourly/overtime don’t expect me to live my life behind my desktop.
