If an interviewer responds back to your thank you email after an interview, is that a good sign?

My experience in healthcare is pretty niche, almost exclusively in Neurodiagnostics and surgical neurophysiology but I am trying (desperately) to transition out as the burnout is incredible. I just bombed my first case interview. The interviewer said I seemed lost, and he wasn't wrong. Nerves definitely got the best of me. I have the second part of the interview (another case with a different interviewer) coming up next week. I guess I'm wondering if I blew the whole thing? Is there any hope with a strong showing next week that I can still move forward?

After 4 weeks of 60-65 hour timesheets, I am at my wits end. I tried to look for other opportunities, but I have essentially ghosted 3 recruiters and 1 second round interview. I am embarrassed. Is getting a job in accounting for the management company of many funds a “dead end”? I know it’s a good job with good pay, but would I be “pigeon-holing” myself taking that job?

As an accounting major does it look bad to not have a cpa... really struggling. Mainly cause my heart just isn’t in it. I want to risk consulting or it assurance and potentially work towards my cisa. But since I have an accounting degree I feel as though it’s going be look down on if I don’t do my cpa.
