Okay so, its been a while since I've been seeing this in Linkedin:The Job requirement says its Entry Level, but the experience it requires is always 6 year+... like how would a fresher match that.. should I've started coding at 6th grade or what?I understand that it's a way of "SEO" in LinkedIn but it just discourages us freshies.Actually not sure if this post belongs in this bowl but.. it is what it is? P.s. I still apply to these because what's the worst that could happen... right?
I'll switch to a startup as the only data engineer and will closely work with all the Head ofs + the CTO. Any advice/books/... on stakeholder management at that level? Especially when things fail/discussing budgets/new hires etc.

Currently I'm a recent university graduate with a degree in Management Information Systems. I work in my family's business as an administrative assistant. I've 0 experience in IT (only book stuff) and I've been wanting to enter but all I get are assistant positions which is not my goal (those entry level job reqs are INSANE). As the first grad in my family I'm in desperate need of orientation. Any books/tips? Thank you!!

After every busy season, I think about leaving public accounting and/or the firm. I have 5+ years in tax. Anyone switch to audit/consulting from tax? I would love to move to Asia one day. Currently working in corporate finance in the US, I just started out of college. What would be the best ways to jump ship and find a job there? Which countries might be best for long-term consideration? How does working there differ (besides the hours and hierarchies)? For those who have done it before, was it worth it? At what point in your career would it be best to make a move like this (or not to make a move like this)? Thanks!

Would love advice on pitching to other post houses, agencies, etc. Just looking to add some diversity to my portfolio to break up all the credit union and insurance company TV spots.

As someone who is pro-choice, people on the left don’t understand why people on the right are pro-life, and it shows. The discourse is never with the desire to understand each other, it’s only to vilify, which will never produce a productive outcome if your goal is to change people’s minds.

Anyone here transition from ProdOps to PM? Currently at a late stage startup looking to make a transition and would love to hear other people’s stories/tips!
👋 For one of my side hustles, I closed a client for a new service priced at $5k/mo. I just serviced the client the first month and it cost me $1500 + 10hrs of work for a net profit of $2000/mo. I’ve been talking openly with the client about potentially switching up the offer to $3k/mo which would cost me $300 + 8hrs of work for a net profit of $1500/mo. I’m struggling on what I should optimize for as I’m scaling - margin or total net revenue?
Finally made it to a PM final round and absolutely bombed it. F*ck me
Anyone have any good career coach recommendations? I've seen lots of people posting that hiring a career coach was one of their best decisions but it's hard to differential the great from the just ok - would love recommendations for coaches that you found particularly insightful
Anyone here work at Tempus? It’s a precision medicine startup, but was curious about culture, WLB, etc
Has anyone heard what it’s like to work oat Personio? Culture wise etc?
A quality career coach told me, before my next job hop, I needed more people management experience on my resume. I can’t get that formally through my current company for at least another year. So what are alternative ways I can build that experience?
I’m starting to look for a new company for the first time since graduating 4yrs ago. I’ve had different roles in my current company, from analytics to now PM, but this is my first time leaving the nest. Any advice on how to approach the job hunt for PM, particularly around finding great companies to work for at this stage in my career? I want to be purposeful with my next move and find the right fit
I recently became PMP certified and am working as a Project Coordinator on a large ERP project. I’ve been in the position for 2 months, enjoy the work, and would like more responsibility and work from home. The director made an inappropriate (sexual) comment; it was so inappropriate that I don’t want to work with the company and am looking for a new opportunity. I would like to get into IT, but I don’t have a speciality. What are tech companies looking for in a Project/Product Manager?
I just got an offer for a PM role at eBay. I don’t have an Eng background and I’ve never had a PM title within tech, although my previous roles involved a lot of PM-type work. So effectively this would be me “breaking into” product management and finally having the title. I think this could open a lot of doors but I’m very hesitant about eBay. It’s obviously not a “hot” company right now and I’m not sure how respected it would be for getting other PM jobs in the future. Should I make the jump?
I keep getting feedback from managers and interviewers that I am strong in product strategy and business mindset, but weak in technical skills despite my CS undergrad and 2 YOE as a software engineer. Granted I have not coded in many years but I am knowledgable enough to understand and discuss technical questions with my dev team. what should be the expected level of technical knowledge?
Need help deciding between two PM offers please! One is based in New York, base 143k plus 21% annual equity and 10k sign on bonus. The other is based in the Bay Area with base 140k plus 150,000 in RSUs and 10k sign on bonus. First is working on internal tooling and second is on customer facing. Second is also pre IPO so may be more stressful…
What are good resources/courses for someone who wants to transition into product marketing?
