Let’s talk about possible solutions which would save poor protesters who need money, will keep corona spread in check and will save economy from going down. Distributing more money to people or printing more money may not be a feasible solution. Why do we need to get into this political bs and not use our brain for something good?

It wasn’t political until conservatives made it political.

Also science and experts got involved. Therefore, conservatives had to be against them.

OP, to start of I am an international living in this country and I don't have biased views on either. The below things are what I feel
1. Trump messed up initially, he was too pompous similar to the UK Prime Minister. It was too hard to catch up after that.
2. All things will have some politics involved, you can't take them out of it. What do you call printing your name on checks paid by taxpayers money?
You want the other side to sit and watch?
3. Trump really is like a child, gosh the press conferences, I watch them daily and his communication is just bad.

Both sides are political, the Democrats generally speaking are overplaying the virus and the Republicans generally speaking are underplaying the virus. Yes we need to be cautious and practice social distancing to the democrats point, yes we do need to slowly open the economy to help prevent what could be a worse depression than the 30s to the Republicans point. Taking the extreme side of one party will lead to disaster is results in either mass casualties or a depression (which also leads to mass casualties)

Not to get philosophical, but one should always put “I think” before they speak about anything but empirical findings. Politically “motivated”? You can never make a definitive statement about anyone’s motivation unless you can read their mind.

Not to mention everything these days tend to be attributed to politics. I bet my favorite choice of beans can be reasoned back to politics by complete strangers who know nothing about me.

Focus on facts. Falsifiable, testable, objective, specific facts. Everything else is interpretation, or worse yet, noise.

“Experts” who have a huge financial incentive that we all get their magic vaccine that they will makes billions off of.

smart

I actually know a guy who worked on the vaccine. He’s head of the vaccine program at a hospital. He’s not rich. He’s not getting rich off this either. He worked days, nights and weekends from early January onward in order to get a vaccine into testing. He does not get paid more for it, nor does he get a cut from the pharma company.
Educate yourself before you follow the “they just want to get rich” talking points. “They” actually want to save lives.

Really don’t understand how anyone with any common sense can still support Trump after this fiasco? We are in a pandemic that has claimed 40k lives in a month and he’s telling people to go out in protest?

I know the protests are justified. To be honest, I am also very scared about a potential rise in COVID post protests. So many deaths and jobs lost in first peak. Hope everyone comes out of this with real change for our society and also safe/healthy.

Considering leaving BAH because a small business wants to sponsor me for a TS clearance. But their max pay is the same as Im making now. The role is functional/PM/BA side, so I could go work for them and get the clearance. And then get another gig that pays more because of the clearance. Thoughts? Before covid, I had an offer with Accenture for 30% increase. But they’ve essentially ghosted me because I know not much is available right now. Would really appreciate some perspective.
