I have been an attorney for a little over a year and have worked at my firm since graduating law school in 2019. I am very unhappy in my current position and with my firm overall, and I have started looking for a new job. The State Bar is hiring attorneys in the Office of Chief Trial Counsel. Any thoughts on whether working for the State Bar is a good idea? Terrible idea? I’d love any insight before submitting an application.

Is it bad that I just want to login so just enough work and log off and enjoy my life after work without caring if what I’m doing is that exciting or if the team is slow or any of that? I feel like as long as I’m getting paid decent and my job is stable I don’t care to do more, is that bad?

Saw this in another bowl and there is some good info here.
Hi ladies, I’ve created a bowl to have men’s and women’s point of view about managing organisations and people, either at our own work place between colleagues or between client - teams. I was inspired to create this as I have very different types of clients, across hierarchical and flat structures, and often in a change management environment there are always challenges that are bound to happen, as consultant. Feel free to join a healthy debate, share your experience & learn from one another: https://joinfishbowl.com/bowl_zn9pwqc43r
In my last company I suffered from poor management who yelled at / demeaned employees daily and overrided decisions with no scientific basis, leading to some dangerous/unethical handling of important issues (dealing with real patients). I have a background in bioengineering/math and am looking for research associate positions or clinical specialist/consultant roles in Long Island, NYC or remote positions ASAP. Any advice (or possible referrals)?
I have a phone call tomorrow with a recruiter from Google for an Administrative Business Partner position.
I was able to connect with the recruiter because I reached out to the Director of the department that is hiring, where after reviewing my resume, the Director forwarded it to the recruiter.
I am posting to see if anyone has any pointers for me going into a phone call of this type. Thanks for any guidance! Happy New Year, everyone!

I interviewed with the hiring manager on Monday and she really liked me and I liked her. On Tuesday I interviewed with the VP who is my bosses boss. That same day, I interviewed with the CMO. I was very tired at that point since it was 8:30 pm and then had been interviewing all day with this company and several others. The thing that threw me off was that the CMO seemed cold and she wouldn’t take off her her COVID mask. Not sure why since she was the only one in the room. Is this a red flag?
