Are A&M seniors really equivalent to B4 Managers? I am up for promotion this year to M1 and am interested in joining A&M but I’m hesitant as I understand A&M would only bring me on as a senior
I'm done, seriously. I left Big4 to a small boutique consulting company becoz it was an exciting role to lead PMs, and I'm hating my life. I need help going back to big 4... any f🐠 wants to help me?
Chances for H / W / Kellogg? Advice on how to improve quickly? Targeting R1 app for class of 2024 - 6 years at AFS; on time promotions - ~2 years B4; up for early promo to M - ECs- weak; mostly involvement in community building and volunteering through the company - GMAT: 760 - ORM
So how much money do you think the Big 4 is saving now that we’re paying all our expenses like electricity, printing, pens, & not expensing any meals and no travel?
If you're interested in FDD at a Big 4 but are hesitant, I'd like to hear from you. I'm an FDD Partner and want to hear from good candidates that may be thinking the WLB of FDD isn't for them. Every firm, every office, every practice is different... I think I have a better model but I want to make it better and I want to share the story. Message me... give me your feedback... tell me what you're looking for.
As someone with Bipolar 1 working at one of the Big 4, I feel as though this industry is incredibly ableist. Any thoughts?
Are there any downsides to working for A&M? I keep getting messages from their recruiters and I’m pretty tempted. However I’ve got a pretty good gig at my current firm - culture is great, I work reasonable hours, and I feel well paid. I know the money will obviously be better over at A&M but do I stand to lose my work life balance/culture? Alvarez & Marsal
I will turn 59 in 2 days, divorced, $4.5 million in stocks & bonds, $700k in primary residence, $250k in rental real estate, finalizing sale of inherited property of $2million. At 59, this is “FIRE”. Single mom & son is 29 & independent. Worked hard, saved hard. Tax director at a Big 4. I have been toying with the idea of retiring at 59 1/2 but friends are surprised! They think 65 is “normal” retirement! Makes me second guess my plans...would you retire given my scenario?
Why does international tax think they are better than everyone else? Is it just the teams I’ve had to work and communicate with or is this the norm?
Is it possible to jump from 1 year in Big 4 tax to a good non-tax role in industry? Fairly certain I'm not cut out for tax and curious what my options are.
Hey everyone quick question. What’s the differences between a Big 4 vs RSM in culture/WLB/type of work? Are there any difference? Thank you!
Considering leaving FDD for competitor. Have heard so many things on better culture at mid-tier firms (think RSM BDO) vs. another big 4. Can anybody weigh in? All I know is KPMG FDD culture is definitely not for me.
Big 4 : Can you work remote from Europe (Belgium,France, England...) for a couple months and use your domestic location charge code ( US ) ? Please share experience ...
32F, 10 YOE at two big 4’s in both tech and HC. Tough decision and want input! Options: 1. Offer to go to Deloitte as SM $200k+ 2. Admitted to NYU and Columbia full time Bschool programs - no scholarship at either 3. Admitted to Darden w more than half scholarship 4. Offer to go to Two FANGS as a program manager, 150k base, 75k annual equity (non technical role) I don’t love what I do but seems I could make partner in 3-5 years at D. Having tough time turning down Columbia Bschool or FANG.

I'm not a quitter but here's the truth. We can't help companies or people who don't want help, even if they hire us.
