If Barrett gets nominated the last 3 SC nominations would all have been Catholics. Gorsuch and Kavanagh also went to high school together at a private all boys school outside of DC. Guess diversity of thought and experiences isn't an important consideration for the supreme court

I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what exactly “separation between church and state” means.
Plenty of public servants (senators, justices, and even presidents—including Obama), ascribe to religions. Separation of church and state simply means that religion is not “institutionalized”.
