If EY goes public, would existing partnership agreement terms/conditions basically cease? In other words, would a PP’s new ownership (in the form of stock) essentially mean that most (if not all) prior terms (e.g. a forced retirement age) go away?

Is it silly to want to feel valued by my Partner/Practice Leader?

He rewards me well rating/comp-wise, gives me a lot of latitude etc but OTOH I constantly get blown off for check-ins, multiple emails ignored, excluded from some conversations that might be relevant for me, etc.

Maybe it’s just normal Partner behavior and I should grow a thicker skin, but generally feel emotionally disconnected from him and that my portfolio of work is not integral, or is an afterthought, to the practice.

I see Accenture MDs sometimes refer to themselves as partners and I often see that title on LinkedIn. Are there MD levels in Accenture that are equity partners like B4 or is it just Andersen hangover?

Any articles or books on maintaining a trusted client relationship? OR any pointers towards doing that?
One consistent feedback I receive is that I don't follow through on client relationship. I build tremendous trust and good will during an engagement, but I let the relationship die out once we wrap the work out. OR It is luke warm at best with a periodic email once in a while, unable to introduce people or grow the relationship.

Is it normal for PPMD to jump around? I feel like I’ve met a few that have spent time as PPMD at different firms or have just recently joined EY from another Big 4/competitor.

Spend so much time managing people’s feelings and mood to get work or get work done. So exhausting, I am ok with machines replacing us all.
