I had a recruiter reach out to me from Google 3 years ago about a role she thought I would be good for. She really advocated for me to be in the role but the hiring managers didn’t feel like I was qualified.
We had a discussion and she gave me a lot of good feedback on how I could be a stronger candidate and encouraged me to reach out to her directly for future opportunities. Fast forward to now, I’ve gained a lot of experience and skills. Should I reach out even though it’s been 3 years?
Are there any recruiters from IBM who have information on their apprenticeship program (Soft Eng)? I have applied and my application is under review. How much knowledge/skill set does one actually need to get into the new collar program? From what I have gathered online, it's kind of a mixed bag and can take a long time to onboard someone. I am self taught, know the basics of two languages and have some small projects to show. Just wondering if there is anyone that has been through this process.

I agree ^ especially since depending on where you live, the signing bonus may be taxed high that the extra week is worth more at Splunk
I would say it depends on your career goals or what you’re looking to do next
How much more vacation? If it’s an added week, it’s worth going with Splunk
To me, no. I left a Fortune 500 company to go to a smaller company. Making 30k/year more and have more opportunities to grow. Larger company doesn’t necessarily mean better culture/better opportunities anymore
If you’re only looking at money over culture or the type of work you’ll do then follow the signing bonus
Which did you select?
