Has anyone seriously thought about going client side? Or has come over from client side? Any tips on what to watch out for, if moving over? Types of client vertical pros/cons??
I’m between features and looking to add to my subtle humor/visual storytelling/kids commercial reel. Anyone out there have a legit but budget-challenged client job they’d like produced at cost?
What do you guys do when you have nothing to work on? I’m an A1, and sometimes due to client delays, work gets extremely slow. I’m just curious about what’s the common thing other staff do in this type of situation so I don’t feel guilty when I end up having free time
For those who are tech consultants, do you normally wear blazers, slacks, and dress shoes on client site or do you go more casual
Just got staffed on a project in Pittsburgh. Don’t own a good winter coat since I am born and raised in Georgia. Any recommendations for coats that are cute but will keep me warm as well?
If your job function is meh but your team and client are great, is it worth the risk of moving to more interesting work with the possibility of a bad team/client?
Just had a client FaceTime me to present because her Skype wasn’t working...that’s a new one.
SMs/MDs/Partners and all of the rest of you senior folk out there. What are your (true) expectations of a manager/project lead and what separates the best from the rest? Asking for a friend obvs.
Hi ladies! Need some advice on a project I’m on where there are two female analysts (I am one of them) and two male leads. Continued...
I absolutely hate my project, but keep getting extended. what reasons can I give to leave the project besides outright telling the SM that I hate it. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. TIA
In-house newbie here. I’ve been put in charge of drafting up a corporate policy that creates a process for employees to object to working with a client for ethical reasons. We are a vendor in the SaaS space. What legal claims should be included here? Religious, political.... anyone in HR know of a good resource to point me to specifically for this topic?
I’m a new manager and am trying to get off a client. Need guidance if I should do it. I work with a very nice senior manager who is up for partner. She gave me a very decent review. The client is horrible though. Piecemeal review comments, constant updates workpapers and last minute changes. The only good thing is working with this senior manager. She is also my counselor. I asked her to get off of this account, and she said the firm probably won’t allow it. I have another senior manager I work
My ~60 person group at my firm has only 5 women in it. Is there any excuse at all for this? Every project I’m on feels like the old boys club
So I’m the only female, aside from a rarely-present senior manager, in an audit room for a 9/30 busy season client. Over the past two weeks I’ve heard no less than five sexist comments,
Sunday Scaries have transformed into Weekend Scaries that I can't even properly enjoy my weekend 😥 I'm on this project for a few more months, but any tips on pepping yourself up?
Thoughts on Account Management in house or client side? I’m watching agencies suck my soul and wondering where my skillset might apply in a slightly less draining & taxing environment
Had a really realistic dream about about client work. This morning, I searched my entire inbox for this email I wanted to reply to but then realized it was in my dream and wasn't real and I'm shook
Say you're freelancing client side. Decent work. Nice people. Not super demanding. To go full-time (assuming you're interested), what % of your freelance rate annualized would you expect?
For those of you who have previously bought a practice, what are some key factors you want to look into when analyzing and conducting due diligence? Specifically for client retention.
Is Premium Processing stopped right now for H1B transfers? Might have to defer the job hunting if PP can’t be done as switching on acknowledgement seems a bad idea in current scenario.
Overheard an Indian Partner out of the FSO Data and Analytics - NYC practice brag about how he takes advantage of all the benefits without contributing to sales!...there goes my bonus.

150K in Chicago or 200K in Los Angeles? Married, single income, 2 kids (1 and 2) Follow up, what salary would make the move to LA a no brainer? Can possibly negotiate up to 250K but will take some convincing
For over 15 years I held customer support roles in a variety of industries. At the same time developing skills in other areas; such as being ordained as a Zen priest and receiving an Integral Coach certification. After being laid off in May, I decided to pursue my coaching business full time. My question is, for those who have sought out coaching, which area of your life did you focus on first and why?
Anyone ever used LegacyBox or simular digitizing services? Trying to pick best one for dad on Father's Day. Would choose Costco but that seems harder to gift
Anyone from Citi here who could help with a referral for a role. I have the job req ID too. Thanks in Advance

How difficult is it to transition from an Expert to a Generalist track at Bain & Company at the pre-MBA level?
Let's say I have 100k invested in a SaaS startup that went public. I'm 28, employed, have another 35k invested in ETFs/dozen other stocks and have maxed out my 401k and roth contributions. I'm bullish on the startup for the long term. Would you: 1) Recoup your initial investment pre-IPO and let the rest ride 2) Sell the full 100k, pay capital gains tax, and diversify 3) A mix of both, and if so what allocation
Wow so I’m a first time people manager in industry (big company) and I’m in the process of getting one of my direct reports promoted. I am shocked that HR’s formal stance is that I have to jump through hoops to rescope the role to justify the promo instead of singing the praises of the direct report who is a rockstar. Theoretically I get the logic of “emphasize the role and not the direct report” but can’t help but feel disappointed that’s the way it is. Are all big companies like this?
Any guess on the salary range for this role
