Recently laid off and job searching right before my due date. Kind of scared because I am on interview 6 with a company so I feel an offer is near but I’m not sure how to negotiate delaying my start date. Anyone been in this situation or pushed for a later start date between 4-6 weeks at minimum? The job is remote so that helps me.

I wrote an honest review about my company on Glassdoor and they removed the review. I’m upset and don’t know what to do. They’re not being honest about what’s going on internally and, I can’t even speak up to anyone because they’ve fired people for speaking up. What can I do?!

Can a law firm in CA rescind an offer if background check reveals an omitted employment history? Worked at a firm for 2-3 months back in 2019 that wasn’t a good fit. Not fired but left to really drive my career in a better direction. I now have an offer from a great firm and scared background check will affect my chances.

Just got laid off this week from a big 4 firm and am currently looking for a new position. Prior to knowing that I was getting laid off, I started talking to some recruiters and had an initial round of interviews for a role. Next interview should be next week. Should I, and if so, at what point, tell them that I’ve been laid off?

Suppose we have an offer letter of company A and someone from company B called for a job opportunity, so can we tell them the name of company A if they are asking?

Today I said that I cannot tell Company A name, it's confidential but he back fired at me giving gyaan like why you are hiding information like this and you already have a good hike from company A then still you are looking for other companies and all that.

I saw someone post their resume + open to work and asked people to share with their network, and while I’m not willing to be quite that vulnerable, it made me wonder if there’s value in a post like that.

Told ya there would be chop. Nice hold for 323. I think tomorrow will likely be a flat day. I would buy some lottos for Friday at Thursday close. Keep an eye on dollar. It's sort of inversing markets. For now I think dollar is topped out in the short term. Next points of control are 312 and then 300. Anything under that is armageddon. I like 323 to hold if we get some good news on a second stimulus. If no news expect slow drip to 310 and even 300. Not the time to buy long term calls.

If you work at Deloitte, I am a new analyst having a lot of trouble finding a first project. It has been 2 months since I’ve started. If I can potentially dm someone for a lead, I’d be grateful.

I work at a midsize, overwhelmingly white firm. A few weeks ago, I was working on client notes and my project manager said that the notes were good except for some grammatical and spelling errors. I found that odd since my spelling and grammar are always on point. I send the next round of notes to him the following week but this time, I asked if there are any edits, please feel free to add track changes. I get the notes back and unsurprisingly, he doesn’t have any track changes to add. Thoughts?
