I was rejected by Accenture (a long time ago) and exactly 1 year later they hunted me down and recruited me! It can’t hurt to try again!

like

Same with my current job

Apply with a new email address. No record of the rejection.

smartfunny

I don't think this is necessary unless you specifically cannot apply again that soon. I don't see anything wrong with applying again.

Why do you think you got rejected?

like

According to my recruiter I have the qualifications, I just could’t convince the interviewers that I could lead a team. Tbh I got complacent during the interviews because I thought there’s no way they could reject me with my qualifications. Oh well I guess you live and you learn.

Yes, they'll know if you were rejected for Role A at the firm and then applied for Role B. Doesn't mean you shouldn't do it. I'd consider letting the recruiter you were speaking with know about your interest in the other position. Maybe there was a reason the team didn't feel you would be a fit for Role A, but that recruiter can connect you more quickly with the right people for the next role and help figure out if it is a realistic option.

Good advice

I was rejected for 1 role, hired for another role 6 weeks later.

Anyone know what kind of experience or certifications I should be aiming to get if I'm trying to break into a pentest role? I just graduated last year and have about a year of sysadmin experience and am trying to get into it asap. So, I'm already applying/job hunting and probably won't get much replies but. Should I be looking at more security analyst/admin roles first? Going for certs? Getting a masters? Wondering what I can do to improve my chances. TIA

Amazon. Is it okay to reach out to the hiring manager for checking the status update if recruiter isn't updating (got an out of office email from recuiter's email ID). Had completed the Loop rounds / Screening rounds / Written assessment and the bar raiser round 11 days back at Amazon. (L6 Program Manager role) Lot of folks suggesting here that it takes 5 business days to get back. It has crossed 5 days definitely (today would be probably 6th/7th, considering a few holidays in between as well.

It seems like the work life balance at MBB is always described as horrendous. But how does Bain keep receiving the number one best place to work per glassdoor?
