Look at Earnest and Sofi - I got mine down to 3.21%
I got a fixed rate from SoFi at 4.3%.
I have fair credit at best, and was able to refi my two largest and highest interest private school loans (no cosigner) from 10% to 6% thru SoFi.
Commonbond. I'm at 3.4%
Does it make sense to do this if I plan on paying them off within the next two years? Only ~$15k left
@OP. Why not? You're still saving at minimum 1% and there are no origination fees with sofi.
Would it have a slight impact on my credit score because it would count as a new account similar to opening a new credit card
Do it
Don't worry about your credit score. People freak out of that way too much.
