Would be fine with us too as long as not expensing anything other than the flight before Mon, and the flight is same/ cheaper than it would have been Mon. Do yourself a favor and keep a record of comparable Mon flight costs in case anyone asks.

@EY1 it's for senior training! Recently promoted 😊

like

@EYOP Congrats! My training was a technical training and I was approved for traveling home nearby for the weekend and then heading in mid-week. I agree with KPMG though, make sure you keep a copy of how much you're saving by using this method if the expense people push back. Just don't try to push weekend expenses through, haha.

like

At Deloitte you can. It is probably a cheaper flight because you end up with a Saturday night stay.

That's what I did for a training recently, but if this is a new staff training, then you might run into some trouble there.

You can do it

Senior training has been scheduled? Which practice are you in?

I was on a business trip with my boss who is a black male. We were eating breakfast (in a hotel catering to business travel, wearing business attire) and another black male (in business attire) came up to him, struck up a conversation said "its good to see another successful black guy" and they exchanged cards. I had never seen it before. When the guy went away I asked my boss about it and he said he will occasionally do that when he sees another black guy in a business setting. CTD.

Hey all! Need a couple book recs for an upcoming beach trip.

Looking for a great non-fiction, relating to travel or world history (not just one moment in time). Could also be about the marketing world or memoirs of a business leader kinda thing.

Fiction wise I also like fantasy, paranormal, and romance. Some fave book series are the Black Gryphon from Mercedes Lackey, Game of Thrones, and From Jamaica Lane series. Similar books?

Is the pay really as good as it seems? How much downtime do you have between contracts? How much control do you have over which contracts you get? Any tips/advice/experience very appreciated!

Starting my first traveling project tomorrow, what time do you recommend I get to LGA for a 9am flight? Flying delta and don’t have premier status/pre check yet.

I’m due with my first in early July. We are thinking of renting a house at the Jersey shore for a week in September. I’m thinking more just to get a change of scenery and to be close to my husbands family but not be in their house. I’m nervous that maybe the baby will be too young and if we have any issues we would need to cancel. My question is - has anyone used travel insurance to cover something like this in case you needed to cancel?

I’m looking for some perspective. A man I’m dating mentioned his ex when he was talking about something. He called her his girlfriend instead of his ex girlfriend. I asked him about it and he said it was a habit, and he meant to say she was his ‘girlfriend at the time’. It stung a little, I feel like I’m over reacting. /:

I think I'm at the end of my rope. I was having concerns 3 yrs ago, but really was able to confront issues this year. We've been married for 6 years, together 9, and have a 2 year old. I'm 30 years old. My family isn't super supportive. I'm nervous, scared, worried, all the things.
