First what situation you are in. Going to resign or in notice period or already out of company. Also has new company offered remote or wfh.
If already been informed that you will be released early. Email the new company that the exiting company has said they may release early, but waiting for confirmation - ask is there a joining bonus if you join earlier than required date.
So, they may say yes and offer an early joining bonus - which is good for you or they may say no joining bonus but try to join early if you can - then you can simply say sure will keep you posted if i am able to join early.
Once you are nearing the end of notice period based on situation you can inform that you are going to be released early, but you are planning to take a break for few days ( say 15-20 days) and will confirm joining date once released.
Then in that 15-20 days you can take a call and inform them that you are ready to join whenever they are ready to onboard you. This should give you a month if not the two and you would have kept them in the loop all along.
Yes and same will be mentioned in you relieving letter.
60 days gap matters its a huge difference
U should have a strong valid reason for not letting them know about this
My thoughts are they will get to know about your lwd on relieving letter or service letter and u should have a reason to tell them for that 15days gap also u can try saying some personal emergency situation but I would suggest u better tell them ahead so u don't need to be in tensed they also will be happy that u can join in 45 days rather than 90 days
I had 45 days of gap between HCL Technologies and Oracle India. That's too almost 7 years ago. I still get asked about my gap.
I always tell honestly what happened. HCL released me earlier but Oracle did not release joining letter then.
That's why I have a gap

Really ...tcs didnt ask me anything last year when i had gap 20 days from my LWD and their interview ..i had left without an offer and hoping for career break ..although got bored very early 🤣
