McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Hey everyone -
Not the exact right bowl, but looking for advice/referrals for a close family friend trying to break into ESG/climate change/sustainability consulting.
They have ~7 YOE in finance (mostly junk debt, some S&T) and 20 YOE in development banking at an IGO (think World Bank, doing everything from public debt offerings, infrastructure, etc. all w heavy ESG/compliance requirements).
Thanks for the help!

Deloitte question. I have always gotten a raise each year, the only question I ask is how much of a raise do I get. But I’m hearing from former Deloitte folks, it is naive to expect annual raises each year however small/big they are? And how does this play in Deloitte consulting vs advisory? Do one tend to withhold annual raises in base salary over the other, or is this just a deloitte culture thing? Looking at exit opportunities all over. So lmk! I’d Rather get a small raise than none at all.

Probably depends on the project leadership
It's more than D1 mentioned. Are you on the project core team or just a cog in the wheel. If you are A then it's a tough call depending on where you are in your progression. If it's B, feel free to roll off
They'll likely let u be remote, happened to my friend in Federal ACN
Yeah it's local and they only want local resources unfortunately
Why would you roll off? Are you transferring to a new office as well?
Why would you be considering rolling off at all? Wouldn't you just travel to the client site on Monday and go back to your home city on the weekends? Unless you're on a local project at the moment, in which case the project might just roll you off anyway if you suddenly become a more expensive resource
