If I join in August in optum .. will I be eligible for promotion next year

I’ve been an associate for over 4 years making approx 100K and have a graduate degree. Just had a 3 percent raise. Am I being paid market comp?

I have 8 years of accounting experience, the first 5 in public accounting. Last year I got a promotion from senior to manager. I was extremely disappointed with my raise last year, I went from 90k to 100k. I expressed that disappointment at the time I was told, but I sucked it up.

Today I was given my 2021 salary. I got a 50% raise to 150k. I am over the moon. I basically the Controller now, finally paid what I want to make.

I’m looking for a new job!! It has been impossible to build a good relationship with my manager, he isn’t transparent with me and never provides any constructive feedback so I have no idea how I’m performing. I recently asked for a raise since I completed all my assigned projects for this year plus a few that I took on due to resignations and was denied with no reason. I’m so checked out and looking for a new job and manager that I can learn from and will help me grow, any help is appreciated!

I’ve talked to two male colleagues about titles/promotions and both of them said “titles don’t mean much, just focus on the craft.” Both of them have higher titles than I do.

Obviously I’m passionate about the work, but isn’t it a bit of a cop out to say that? I’m an ambitious person, I like working towards goals (eg. promotion), but now I feel invalidated for wanting career progression.

Tips on negotiating a raise! I’m no where near the timeframe for one(only been there just over 90 days), just want to be prepared for when that meeting comes up at the one year mark 😅

I also observed that not all leaders are willing to sponsor their team members. Not all leaders demonstrate genuine interest in sponsoring, coaching, and developing their staff. I was the 2021 best ADR of all CEU in my company, got a promotion as account executive and in the first 7 month I’ve been between the 3 best sales of the team (12 people). Got back from 2 weeks of holidays and a month of sick leave I’m a bit demotivated by the culture of always been closing, always pushing etc.. I feel like I’m a bit tired. Hi all! I work at a nonprofit and am looking to leave the organization. As I browse available positions in my area, I’m realizing there is a LOT of crossover between my current org and others, for example shared board members, folks who are on our board and employed at one of the institutions I’m interested in, etc.. What’s the difference between a manager and a senior manager? I’m a manager currently and want to know what I need to do to be a senior manager. Meaning how do I stand out for promotion. I feel like senior managers are more tax technical and manage more people. I also think they handle the business aspect, like profitability and client relationships.

How much raise can we expect from SE I to SE II promotion?

Applying to roles within the same federal agency. I know you need one year within the probationary period, but can I apply to a higher GS level? For example, if I'm GS 9, receive a promotion to GS 11 at the end of probation, would i be able to apply to GS 13 roles if I'm qualified? Herjavec group- 11 L fixed + 1 L VP and exposure to work on IAM tool Sailpoint

Optum - 11.7 L fixed + 1.75 L VP + 50k JB with no exposure to any IAM tool, just basic User access management work

Which one should i join, please help ?
