Bain & Company What is the likelihood of making SAC in September 2022 if I join as an AC on April 18th at Bain & Company? I am a senior consultant at EY with 3.5 years of experience in Data Analytics. Or is March 2023 more realistic? They told me 6 months for promotion but it seems like the two promotion cycles with my different start dates give me 4 or 9 months of experience, nothing in between. Why would you deliberately have an opposing view influence the possibility of your promotion?
I would say, hell nah.
Because that manager might be “in” with the partners on the round table and it might be worthwhile getting ahead of the situation by having his/her counselor speak with the manager.

Yes, have them talk to your counselor. It might help. Make sure your counselor is with you though.

No. You don't need to ask for support to everyone. If you know they won't speak in your favor, some folks might anchor on it and ruin your chances all together. Just stay away from it.
I’m in a situation with a senior on my project. They are up for promotion, and I am strongly advising against it. All the previous managers leading this person share the same thought. It would make a difference if I talked to their Councelor
