If I need a little more money until I find my next job, is it dumb to take a part-time minimum wage job? Is there some "professional" equivalent that pays better that I am unaware of?

Not stupid. If you need the money then it’s smart !!

It's not beneath you to take a minimum wage job. But from economics standpoint it's worth doing an evaluation which option is better. 1. Think about the position itself. What impact does it have to your lifestyle? Late hours, physical work, exposure to covid. You could be tired and worn out and perform worse at you current job, take away from time spent searching for new job. 2. Think about the pay itself. Is it enough pay to justify your extra hours. 10 hrs on top of your already 40 to 50+ hrs is a big difference than if you had no work and this was the only part time job you have. 3. What is the money needed for. Paying rent, medical bills, high interest loans, food? If it's critical the the extra push is worth it.. If it's because you want a nice to have maybe not as critical. Are there other areas you can make up for this? Cancel/pause Netflix, YouTube TV, ESPN +, that monthly clothes/makeup subscription box you don't need. No more Starbucks, eating takeout less etc. 4. What else could you do with that time? Study for another cert, take online class to improve a certain area, focus on job search, networking, etc. An extra $200 a month may seem cool, but if you spent that time you could bring in a higher salary that would be multiples of the part time work. I think similar questions for when people are laid off. Focus on search or get any job even very low pay. There's a balance. But you have a job already so you have a good foundation to fall back on whereas people laid off generally have no income.

A male partner said I’m cute and I play cute. Should I be worried? I have a bubbly personality and I look young but being described as cute makes me feel uneasy. Also, I’m a bit offended being said I “play cute” as I think it means I do it with intention in order to get some advantage. For context, I’m a non-native English speaker and might have misunderstood this, but I want to hear your views on what it means as I don’t want to misinterpret anyone.
