Hi Fishers, I want to pivot my career into management consultant. I am currently working as a Market research analyst with 1 YOE. Can someone please suggest me how or where should I start to build my career in management consulting at Big 4.
Also, please suggest entry level jobs that I will be eligible for with skills in Strategy, primary and secondary research, and competitor analysis.
Thanks in advance!

Capgemini I joined sometime back at D1 level , I do technical work most of time like coding, dev, testing etc.
I have worked a lot in my 14 years and still have required skills needed for the work. I don't have energy to slog any further. Moreover I get anxiety when I see junior level people doing same work as me and earning more or same.
I feel cannot sit longer hrs due to back issues and other health issues and family commitments.
Can I change to management side without risking my job .

Hello,
Last Wednesday I was able to get a Deloitte job referral, I applied the next day. Yesterday I signed in to my account and it shows that I applied for the job but when I click on the link it show me an error page. I searched for the job on the website itself and it disappeared. There were like multiple positions but different locations, now they’re all expired. What does this mean? Did they choose a candidate already? It’s weird it never happened to me before
Thank you in advance 🙏🏻

When I was at BCG I saw a pricing specialist who moved into a generalist consulting role in Atlanta.
The biggest factor is not your education but whether or not you are awesome and people want to work with you in that capacity. If you have a partner who likes you and will staff you anything is possible.
Seems unlikely, you can’t put an offer on your resume (not saying the mba “should” matter, but it does) and how would you immediately transfer to a post mba role without the mba or equivalent degree?
@Mck1, should have clarified, in this scenario you’d work 2 years at MBB, then after the 2nd year present the M7 offer (that you intend to go to B-school, but would like to return on another team)

Mck1- I am hoping to do the same actually sometime down the road (on specialist track)... would you be willing to ask that person if they’re open to connecting? 😅 I can DM you as well!
At Bain there is a different interview process for internal folks who get an MBA but want to come back as a generalist consultant. My understanding is that it is much more relaxed. Caveat, all of my knowledge on this subject is second and third hand.
Yeah, it’s much more clear cut if you are already in the generalist consulting track. I am not 100% sure how it works
