This is in regards with my resignation. I have resigned on 22nd March (LWD : 22 June ) on medical grounds. Since then, my hr has asked for my prescriptions and medical certificates to give me an early release.

But yesterday, She is stating that my lwd is revised to 18th April with a clause that since my release is on medical grounds I can't join any other orgs before 22june. If joined, there will be problem in background verification.

What is a reasonable price to insulate approximately 800 sq ft of a third floor? I would say attic and it likely doesn’t make a difference, but there are actually stairs and that go up there so third floor it is. Hey folks - I am looking into purchasing a 2-family home in HCOL area. One unit is being rented and the other would be owner occupied (me). After rent from tenants, mortgage would be around ~$4,200. HHI is around ~$235,000. Home price is $845,000 @ 5% down. Does this sound reasonable? Need advice if this is a good investment or I should fade away.

What are some tips and tricks when locking a loan. My place is expected to close end of November so I still have some time to shop around. I was able to lock 15 yr with BoA at 4.75 for 90 day lock but another lender willing to do 4.5% but with 60 day lock.

Am I thinking this right? Have additional cash on hand to put into down payment (from 25% down to 40% down) to reduce monthly mortgage payment with interest rate of 6.375%. So unless I think I can get more than 6.375% return from other investment (putting into the market; already maxed out on I-bond this year), I should put it into the down payment. Right?
