If I want to start my own consulting company someday, how much experience do I need first to be taken seriously?

Very little. People walk out of law school and start their own firms all the time with zero experience running a firm. You can get clients if you work at your craft and getting your name out there

Id say absolute minimum 5 years and you need to at least seem like you could be 30 years old (even if you’re in your 20s). Just my opinion, I’m sure young people can succeed too, but having a few extra years of adulthood makes you more relatable to most potential clients imo

Does EPAM ANYWHERE accepts counter offer. YOE : 7.7Yrs , Tech Stack : JavaScript, React JS, Node JS. I already have an offer for 26LPA (24Fixed+2Stocks), Now EPAM ANYWHERE is offering me 26.4LPA full fixed + 75k Joining Bonus where the existing offer is not mentioned. Will they accept Counter offer or when the DOJ is very close will they revise the package ? I am expecting a package between 29-32LPA.

With the looming threat of recession, should I stop the aggressive payments I have been making on my student loans? Fishes, would love to have your thoughts on this - I graduated school last year and have been aggressively paying down my student loans (50K left now, started at 91K last summer). With a recession looking likely, should I revert to minimum payments and save more? For context, I have enough saved right now for 4-5 months of living expenses plus some additional money in 401K.

What does band B7.2 mean, Is it equivalent to Senior Analyst role ?

Anyone know if a CD has ANY of the skills to transition into a Producer role at a production company? I love creative ppl and bringing ideas to life but I'm burned out agency side.

I keep seeing so many folks talk about how they’re back in-office, but I’m still fully remote with full flexibility to WFH. I’m looking to possibly get a new job in the next few months - should I mention to interviewers/recruiters that I enjoy working from home and need that as a requirement if I’m to accept a new position elsewhere? I’m open to travel to on-site for client workshops or new business pitches, but I want to be WFH besides that.

Hi, i am in Capgemini using Salesforce as my technology. My CTC is 3.8 and i feel like switching as office is calling and i don't save anything with rent and food and travel expenses. I have a bond of 2 years, which i am thinking of payment the bond amount. But i feel like companies won't pay 9-11 lpa for a 1 year experience candidate. Should I except 11 lpa ? Yoe - 9 month

I'm thinking of a career shift from Sales into Marketing, CS, or Sales Ops, and I want to be sure any change is a side step/step forward rather than backwards. I don't have a "mentor" who's well established in anything business related that I can talk with transparently. Any thoughts from those with more familiarity in the field?

Netflix Pros: ? Cons: - culture deck is something else: if they think they can do better than you, they will just let you go - they think they’re the Yankees: if you’re batting.385, but they think there is someone out there who can bat .400, you’re going to get fired - they will openly discuss at a meeting why you suck - Reed Hastings' leadership style was once described as being "unencumbered by emotion". A VP once told him he's not a good listener and tends to be unempathetic.
