What do you think are the pros and cons of working at a large insurance company vs. a small one? Considering a jump from big (been with a few carriers for ~15 years) to much smaller but growing.

I work in Group Insurance if that makes a difference.

How can I be happier at work? I found myself keep comparing me to other colleges and feel I’m not as recognized or taking credits that I suppose to take, and this makes me unhappy and exhausted. FYI I’m competitive in skills and knowledge but not as good in politics and often feel tired to think about it. How is everyone staying motivated at work while going through fertility treatments? On days when I have appts or get my period, all I want to do is google and read forums about it. My utilization is tanking (not because I’m blowing off work, but because I need to find and take on new work) but can’t get the energy to). Completed final round of interviews. Awaiting decision but recruiter has asked for 2-3 references and at least one from current employer. I can get one from a former client and one from a peer at D. Is that ok? Or should I tell them I can provide current employer reference if they extend the offer?
