Not sure what you mean by reading frequency but it’s hard to go wrong putting a consistent amount of cash* into an S&P 500 etf every month / quarter / year

*cash that you don’t expect to be forced to withdraw in the next 2-4 years to fund non-discretionary expenses

Reading is good too, although I'm sure not what you meant! Start with these, they should be available at most libraries.

I will teach you to be rich - Ramit Sethi
The little book of common Sense investing - John Bogle

I'm 22 and put everything in equities. No bonds. I know I won't be touching my 401k or Roth for years so I want that jaunt to grow!

Lmao sorry guys meant trading frequency* not reading

Food for thought: the US is actually one of the most racially conscious places I’ve ever lived. Not saying we don’t have a LONG way to go and that there isn’t immediate important work needed.
But the amount of allies this movement has is incredible. Keep in mind this is just my experience and may not represent others- however, in many of the other places I’ve lived or traveled to, racism is almost tacitly accepted. You wouldn’t have people calling out taxi drivers for ignorance for example

do any of you ever notice that the way people treat you at the office varies based on what you wear? in cooler weather i was wearing slacks and button downs, i transitioned to wearing dresses this week as it got warmer and suddenly people (mostly but not entirely men) are way friendlier....am i going nuts or is this a thing?

Hi Sharks, I had an interview with Tata Consultancy today and cleared the TAG round by answering all their questions. So here my query is, based on my performance will they offer me a hike of 100% or more from my CCTC, because this role is too relevant to my domain and technical knowledge so that I don't wanna miss out on this.

CCTC - 6LPA
YOE - 5

Should I email them on Monday letting them know I have another offer that is exploding or wait to see if they send me something by Wednesday?

Can anyone recommend books they’ve found helpful for L&E matters, privacy matters, product matters, or marketing/advertising matters?

What is a good introduction book on investing?

Need some advice for investing, I make a base salary of 180k - meaning after taxes and 401k etc I take home 9k per month. Child care , living expenses - 4-4.5k, investments in india - 2.5k, I have up to 2-2.5k left every month. Should I be putting all of it in ETFs ? That would be about 33%-25% of my salary. I put my bonuses and stocks in savings accounts and CDs for my kid. Thoughts? Thank you!
