Does anyone know about whether their is company hiring for an entry to mid level business analyst? Let me know, especially if your company offers a referral bonus!
I just received a verbal offer at a VC and am now just waiting for my contract/compensation details to come through. People say to never accept your first offer, but I am aware that I’m pretty unqualified compared to their normal hire (I’m a “culture fit”). It’s a dream role & a dream company. How hard should I push for compensation?
Has anyone stayed in Federal consulting outside of the DC area? Fully remote? Just Curious if it is possible.
I just had the most awkward call with a manager. It was not how I wanted it to go, we just bs-ed about WFH etc for half of it. I could not figure out how to transition is to the questions I had. And then I awkwardly asked them to connect me to people in their highly-coveted practice area and they kinda brushed me off. I thought we had a strong relationship. People are so good at having a facade. I don’t even mean this in a negative way. I’m impressed (and sad)

In the spirit of the holidays, let’s not talk about work/salary/exit opps. What is everyone’s favorite way to chill on a cold winter remote Monday evening? Mine is a fat joint and Chinese takeout.
Is it industry norm for an agency in a metro area to track WFH hours for salaried, FT employees? Or is it standard for agencies to offer flexible WFH hours? Pros/cons? What does your agency offer?
My company is letting us expense a pretty good amount of $ for WFH gear. In a small apartment and have been going deciding between a monitor and a standing desk. Have you gotten anything that you rec?

Wise F 🐠 - negotiation help needed - my 57 yo stepmom is an associate VP at a hospital. She’s been offered her same role as .5 FTE instead of leaving outright. How should she negotiate scope of role?
Advising a startup that consolidates scattered documents and files and enables focused work and “indistractablility”. As a full time consultant, I have used the platform myself and it’s impressive. The company is targeting agencies, startups, and freelancers right now for the initial customer segment and is offering a VERY competitive referral program until mid Feb. DM if interested in the referral program or the platform itself.
Hello Everyone, Hope you are doing well. I need a small help and advice from advice from all of you. I’m 24 and just started my career at EY as a consultant. I feel good about the salary I make, work I do, and where I’m at in my career. My personal life also has a ton of fulfillment and truly makes me so happy. That being said, I have a high school classmate and close friend who was in IB and just started his own hedge fund type of business after leaving his big bank job. I feel like I’m falling behind. He’s probably going to end up a millionaire fast. I try not to compare but can’t hell mtseld
How good at coding do you have to be to get a software engineer position at at Big Tech? How does it compare comp wise to product management within the same firms?
I have a 2 hour interview with an agency tomorrow for a freelance role. This is my first time speaking with them, a recruiter set me up with them last week and they liked me enough to want to meet me (!!) I’m meeting the members of the team individually which is why it’s so long, but do you think a 2 hour interview right off the bat is a good sign? Any tips for not burning out over the course of 2 hours?

The Venn diagram of people asking “how many points” here and people who have asked to see a restaurant manager is a circle
True or false: If you ran your classroom the way admin ran the school, you’d get endless complaints from students/parents.
Should I stick around with my current job just to get a green card? They’re willing to apply for me but I don’t know if it’s worth it when the work is sometimes unbearable to the point I have panic...
What mid-career compensation (at age 45 or so) can I conservatively expect if I pursue Corporate Strategy, and exit at the Manager/PL/EM level? Currently at 31 years of age
I really appreciate when interviewers give feedback and don’t ghost. Just received a rejection email saying I interviewed well but didn’t have the experience. It’s a slight confidence boost for me.
Thought I finished final round of the interviewing process, but I’ve been asked to complete a few peer interviews. Anyone else ever been in this boat? I see it as beneficial as I’ll get a better idea of my day to day.
