Geeze yall be so extra on here.. good luck in school! Maybe find a side hustle that u can do part time if you still want money coming in

Are you resigning before finding a new job?

@Senior Consultant 1 many schools (especially in grad school) require you to either have equal or better health insurance than theirs provided through work, or you’re required to pay for theirs. This was my experience in school and for many others.

Just be frugal and I’d suggest having some sort of income flowing in, even if it’s a part time job

Make sure to set aside enough to cover health insurance before you resign.

If your monthly truly is 3k then you’re covered for over a year

Give them a break, they just said they’re going back to school. Elementary school probably.

Wait till you land another offer!

I’d just try to remember things like birthday/holiday gifts, vacations, etc that you might want to plan for on top of monthly expenses. Worst case if cash gets low you can pick up a side hustle for short term - Uber/DoorDash/3rd party consulting/do something for a small biz - you’ll be good!

It makes sense to take a month off before school to relax or whatever but not 8 months. Especially when you can't travel or do anything interesting during this pandemic.

3k x 8 months = 24k. You're good

Just started at the firm and was on a team (just for the training period) where we had a to present to senior leaders within the firm. Despite aligning on speaking roles ahead of time, a male colleague consistently spoke up after every speaker (to add additional points) - the points were fine but felt a bit disrespectful to the speaker in my opinion.
