If I asked my parents to pay for my wedding, they'd look like this: 不 and 不.

^It's actually proper wedding etiquette that you return the gifts if it's before a year. So, it's def not all in for everything.

Nope. You go all in. That's what a wedding is.

I wouldn't want my child to stay in an unhappy union because of the wedding cost. the money is spent

So many factors, like: what does your relationship look like? Married/Divorced/functional/dysfunctional... What is the child/parent relationship like? Is there a warring Darth Vader/Luke Skywalker battle? (Not sure what sex everyone is, but there is a lot of topics around pressure, conformity, ouch back against conformity, independence, co-dependence...) Basically I would be honest about any cause effect you have in the equation and be compassionate and understanding but also hold them accountable to the harsh lesson and financial impact. #Rhetorical

Think it's more for pre wedding fallout. Like the groom running away with his bachelor party entertainment. Not sure if it works for a failed marriage

For the attorney moms, how do you focus/prioritize work? Im a recent-ish mom and have been back to work for about 2 years at two different firms in that time. Will it ever get better? Any tips or similar experiences welcome!

Did anyone's brains just stop working while pregnant? I'm 13 weeks and can only manage to work half days. I'll sit at my computer for 12 hours and bill only 3-4 hours instead of my standard 8-10. I have work to do, but zero motivation or availability to focus unless there's a looming deadline. Does this phase pass? Did this happen to anyone else?

Unrelated to law, but need some advice on how to help a friend. One of my best friends dad is in the hospital in really bad shape. Shes home with her mom and siblings. If I were closer Id make food and drop it off, but theyre 200 miles away. Any ideas?

Salary in interview. I was asked about my salary in an interview at MBB. Say I was currently receiving 70k fixed + 22k bonus. I told them "my salary is 100K including bonus". Can this little round off hurt later? The interviewer was basically asking me how much I am expecting and I told him industry standards. Kept pursuing it. In end he said just give me sense of your current salary and so I rounded off.
