IF noob here, looking for advice! I am able to fast for 14 hours now, but just not able to stretch to 16 hours. If I eat any later in the morning I build up a massive headache, if I eat any earlier...

You might not be drinking enough regular water if you get a headache. And, like M1 said, sparkling water will make your stomach feel fuller. Just eat enough fat when you’re eating, too. You’ll get there! It doesn’t have to be every day either. Some days I am just too hungry. Be kind to yourself and congratulate yourself for all progress!

Yeah shift your eating window and schedule meetings in the morning or something to occupy you. Also drink water, coffee, and chew gum. That should get you till like 1pm then stop eating at 9pm

... at night, I can't fall asleep with a hungry tummy. Any advice for overcoming? I heard black coffee in the morning helps, but I just don't drink coffee (can't stand the taste of black coffee). Any other subs that would help?

Can you drink unsweetened green tea? And ideally 16-17 hours is the key to get the full benefits

Also, just enjoy the 14 hour IF for a while. Get good at it. Then, modify to 15 then 16 or more. It will get easier to add the time when you’re more experienced at it

Finally went to therapy and got diagnosed but considered about jumping on medication so focused on doing CBT to see if I can manage. Any success stories using CBT before turning to medication?

Lately been wondering if my meds are even working anymore… had to skip today’s dose (long story not worth telling) and, yeah, can now confirm my meds are working.

I am less sharp and my brain constantly feels foggy..
It started progressively over past 3-6months , but is very noticeable now: searching for words, having to use simple vocab, struggling to think and focusing, lower output quality (at work and in general)... Even sometimes slight speech impairment.

I am getting concerned, anything I could do? No underlying diseases, I did increase drinking but have since then reduced it below previous levels..
Greatly appreciate any help!

I start stims in July and am likely to have to travel during the 2 weeks on stims leading up to egg retrieval - is it easy to fly with all the medication or is it just not worth it because you feel so bad & hard to predict when the retrieval will need to be? Has anyone gotten blood results with a slightly elevated prolactin level and had their doctor order a pituitary MRI? I just got my yearly blood work redone with the RE (depressing in itself as I’m into my second year of fertility treatments), and I got this result. Basically they have me thinking I’ve got a brain tumor and I’m not doing well. Another cause of elevated prolactin can apparently be stress (I have maximum stress right now) but needing this MRI is not helping at all!

There’s no excuse that by the age of 25 you have never tried therapy. I’m speaking directly to the demographic in this group who I’m sure over 95% of people in here are earning 6 figures. Key word: TRY. I understand it’s not for everyone but to have never even attempted seeking therapy is a injustice to yourself and the people around you.

I think an MC is about to start but after this long last year+ of TTC an ounce of me doesn’t want to accept it... I started light pink spotting yesterday (at the timing of what would be my second missed period) but today the spotting is a darker brown. Yesterday my provider said some spotting is normal but just this morning it looks more to me like the start of my period, heavier and brown 😩

30M. Been lost roughly 10 lbs (155 to 145) by moderate peloton workout and calorie deficits however, I feel like my body shape is still the same, chubby around stomach and chest. Any suggestions? Any I losing muscle mass instead of fat?

Looking for guidance, any tips would help:

I'm trying to lose as much weight as possible in the next weeks.

Currently,

I fast about 16-18 hours,

eat 1 or 2 medium-sized meals,

no processed carbs or sugars.

I walk/run for 30 mins and do 15 min HIIT (or substitute the whole thing with 30 min HIIT)

Can I do anything else? I'll work out another time of the day if it helps.

Has anyone gottten gastric sleeve surgery, or know someone who has? What was your experience?

I feel really lethargic everyday. It helps if I exercise in the morning to be more active, but sometimes there’s just no time for morning exercise. I’ve been thinking about getting a standing desk to help with this? Any thoughts of this will help? Or something else that might help? Thanks!

I finally hit 225 on deadlift (6 reps). 30, Male, 160lbs and 5’9”. Long way to go but this was a goal of mine for a while.

Is it true that a cheat day actually helps the weight loss process?

Lost 5lbs in one week by pushing my first meal of the day back to 11:30am. Probably can’t consider it to be intermittent since I don’t have a hard cut off time for when I stop eating at the end of the day but I’m really happy that this small adjustment is working!

I was strength training with a trainer pretty rigorously 2x per week but not losing any weight. Took a break from workouts all together for ~6 weeks and have lost ~5 lbs. Has anyone else experienced this?
