ban fat people from bars, gyms, and restaurants (this is sarcasm please don't report me)

Good luck taking on the processed food companies, the soft drink industry, and the corn subsidies to name a few. The obesity epidemic is not simply a lack of individual willpower…

Soft drinks are 100% individual willpower

As I sit here fat and vaccinated.... you probably right.

They won’t do this because they don’t actually care about your health.

Being obese doesn’t affect another person’s health. Someone’s obesity does not mean the death of another nor can someone infect someone if they are obese.

The risk of near-peer kinetic conflict is increasing, particularly in the Pacific. Yes, the battlespace has changed — drones, cyberwarfare, PSYOPs, space, etc. will be critical capabilities that define 21st century warfare. However, the need for millions of able-bodied men and women that can do everything from stacking boxes to pulling triggers is still just as salient. It’s not a great comparison, but I still think there’s something to be said for how we as a country just accept obesity and all the health problems it causes. It’s an expensive and devastating disease.

Funny how you assume that being obese and going to the gym are mutually exclusive. My BMI says obese, my title says world's strongest. My cholesterol is good, as is my mile. Do I have fat? Yeah. Do I still lift 2-3 hrs 5 days a week with 3 days of cardio? Also yes. It's almost like BMI or calling someone obese/fat is a useless. Also how does me being fat affect you at all? Well, other than your delicate sensibilities.

Our politicians on both sides of the aisle are owned by the food companies that profit from obesity. In Europe they have so many chemicals banned from foods because they are bad for you, in America our food is engineered to be addictive.

What is the Q conspiracy on this? The gov is blowing the fat-demic out of proportion to keep you from exceeding your right to eat a cow / or pig for every other meal? (I gotta admit, the Qs are entertaining.)

The real question is how do I gain weight?? Much harder than losing.

Jesus Christ, people on here are so sensitive… let’s put this in layman’s terms… if you’re fit, active and eat mostly healthy you’re more likely to have better overall health. If you’re obese and eat McDonald’s/Wendy’s everyday you’re more likely to be unhealthy and have poor health… this is not rocket science folks

Been getting huge waves of not wanting to work because I know I’m only in it for the money. Except that doesn’t even feel worth it anymore. Just started a new project that isn’t interesting, but is chargeable. Need some advice from fellow fishes. Oh, to add on, I had a vacation planned for Santorini earlier in April, but was cancelled due to COVID. 😭

Ethical question: would you try to negotiate a raise in current job if you know you’re actively looking elsewhere? Context: had an incredibly challenging year with a huge project that completed successfully. Extremely complex tasks and long hours. Got an award for “disruption” but in summary, the role evolved and now I want to ask for market adjustment /as well as merit raise. I also hate what I do at the moment and can’t wait to leave, but might take months. Should I still ask for a raise?
