If organizations say they are an equal opportunity employer, why do they ask about visa/h1b etc while applying. I feel resumes are not considered on visa/h1b basis and it’s indirect discrimination

Had my interview this past Monday.

My recruiter meets every Thursday to get feedback from the interviewer, so I’m not expecting to hear back until next Friday.

I get an email today, from a Googler, an invite to apply for a position. I did not accept or decline yet and I don’t have any details. I did look up the person who sent me the invite, the person is a regional lead.

Any ideas what this could be? I’m a bit nervous and don’t know if I should reach out to my recruiter to ask her?

How long is it appropriate to sit on an offer from a firm before giving an answer. This firm made me an offer sooner than I expected, and I’m trying to check their references (talk to anyone I know who knows anyone that has worked there) and now they’re giving my recruiter pasig aggressive notes about how long I’m taking and saying they’ve been “very patient”….it’s been a week.

Can it really take over a week to make a decision about whether to invite a candidate for a callback after a screener? Has anyone experienced this? The firm said I would hear either way so I’m not taking silence as a rejection but nervous as to why it’s taking so long.

Strong consulting background at H/S. Applied for MBB NYC internship and got only 1 interview invite (failed to convert final round). Both career center and ex-MBB classmates are shocked. Any insights why others got more interviews than me?

If I buy a car from a private seller out of state where I’m paying off their lien, then there’s a delay until the bank and dmv sync up and release the lien on the title, does the car just have to stay with the seller or I have to pay to ship it to me? I don’t see how I can drive it back without the title, which is required to get a temp transport plate. Car is in Wisconsin I’m in Illinois, and lien is with Chase bank.

I’m still open to sr cw positions (the work just isn’t good at current gig) so should I not update my LinkedIn? I don’t want to limit myself to acd positions b/c I don’t have a book that lives up to it yet.
