I have 1 month of Notice Period Left. I have actively started applying from today as I had a major medical emergency at home. Tech Stack: Java, Springboot, MicroServices. Y.O.E - 3. Can anyone please help with job referrals?
I’m new to a project and working with one other guy who is also new. I’m not sure if it’s the competitiveness in me, but I’ve noticed that he tends to speak for me in meetings and frames things as if they’re his idea. Yesterday, I told him that I’m going to help with issue 1 and we should tag team on it. I told him who to reach out to and what to do. This morning on our team daily sync he told everyone what we plan to do, and that we’re helping with issue 1/tag teaming. I worry that this looks..
26M making $155k base and about $185k TC at a large payments firm (Visa, MC, AmEx). I’m also 1 year away from promo which will probably get me to $210-220k TC. Do you think I still need an MBA? A lot of senior leaders in my team have 1 so I’m really not sure at this point. The opportunity costs are high, but I’m well aware of the long term benefits. I’ve also already taken the GMAT and gotten a 740. I’m an Asian male and find the hurdles that we go through for admissions a turn off as well.
Is any accounting firm sponsoring for an H1B visa in tax or audit? I joined KPMG 5 years ago and heard that they quit doing so after that.
I’m eligible for 401k %match from my employer on aug 1 2021. The max total amount I could get from them for 2021 is ~$420. I plan on maxing out & my 401k has an aggressive strategy. Would you wait to contribute until later in the year in order to maximize the match, or invest early in the year for the compound interest gains? Am I wrong to think the latter?
Is it ok to tell a company that you worked for them if you are in an interview and you work for them and they ask who you work for when you work for them? Any advice would be appreciated
Best SPG or Marriott property in SD for a weekend? Currently planning on staying at the US Grant.
New to due diligence and not sure the timeline of projects. Tips to stay organized of the project and timeline, and how to update those leading the deal? Just keep track of new info and provide as necessary?
Anyone move from NYC to LA? Appreciate the nature, cleanliness, space, lower cost, and same coast I grew up in (Vancouver). Tempted to move now due to COVID19. I’m a 30 yr old single male - what neighborhoods do you suggest?
Is it very hard to go to IB post-MBA from T2 consulting pre-MBA without internship? (CBS student)
1 month long enough for Italy, Greece, and Turkey? Contemplating taking 2 months, but I found a first class ticket on my miles. I guess I could break the trip up and go back. Something is bound to go wrong at work, but everything is via internet and zoom now.
Okay to renege on a lateral offer that I already accepted (prior to Covid-19 outbreak)? Anxiety is high moving in a time like this and now would rather stay put.
Have people in San Francisco never seen a person wear camo before? Tf you keep staring at 🙄
How much of your base salary would you give up to work 9-5 regularly? Just received an industry job offer from an incredible company to work for.
Currently an S1 in TR in the north west, making 94k. Just started talks with KPMG, what should I throw out there for salary expectations? I stated 110k and was told that’s in range, just want to make sure I’m not undercutting myself.
Experienced 🐟 - please help me out. What's the best way to transition to a business operations/ sales operations role in a Technology/ Internet company from Big 4 management consulting? What kind of projects to target? What are the resources I can use to get myself familiar with what those roles might entail?
I was sexually harassed and experienced pretty blatant racism on a previous project. I was too mentally exhausted/anxious then to take this to HR. I have somewhat recovered from the experience but still have some reservations about going to HR with names and my situation. I have everything documented but I’m afraid it’ll tarnish my reputation, I won’t receive enough support and people (perpetrators) will be let go during this pandemic. Not sure why I’m still empathetic. Advice?
So EY LAW said there are risk traveling to Puerto Rico without a visa stamp even though it’s a territory and that travel should be kept to absolute necessary ones at this time. I understand from a lot of threads that there are no threats traveling to PR immigration wise but is it wise to disregard what they are explicitly asking one to do? They also asked to keep travel advisories in mind if I still plan on traveling there.
