Agree. I had a letter in writing from my 1st firm indicating my bonus to be paid on 12/31 was for work performed the prior 12 mos and gave notice before receiving it but looking back I should have waited (they still paid it). I felt like since the letter indicated the bonus was for work performed 12 mos prior and the letter indicated the amount it was pretty safe.
I’ve been here for 2 cycles now. There is a very strong consensus towards not saying anything about notice until your AIP is paid out

You will probably get paid anyway but think it would not be smart to tell them you are leaving until paid
As a rule you need to be employed on the date they pay the bonus. If you hand in your two week notice, and they don't terminate you immediately, you're probably okay. But honestly, I wouldn't risk it lol
