Hi Fishes,
Please help me with In hand salary
TIA

Hello Guys,
I Got one Offer from Fynd but that is too low for me and as per my expereince
They are giving me 9 LPA bcz I quoted that amount when I applied for it long back. at that time I didnt know more about how salary and all calculated and whats the market research
Now after clearing all the rounds when we meet for salary discussion i told him my real desired salary as per experience and market reseach
He told me that I quoted 9 LPA so we can not do more "unless you have any counter offer"

I’d personally chose MBB as well since it gives you options to exit into virtually any industry or function for the most part

PM all the way
Why
If your end goal is to be in tech, PM.
If undecided, MBB.
This is correct. It is so much easier to pivot to what you want after consulting than industry experience, but tech PM starting will come out ahead of MBB if MBB person moves to tech later.
None, become a software engineer at FAANG.
Pichai had a history as an engineer before being a PM. Most people in tech would agree the best PMs usually have a strong technical background - which is why a lot of SWEs turn to product management as a second career after a few YOE if they’re not interested in pursuing IC or engineering management routes. Issue is PM is now getting over saturated/becoming the new data scientist as popularity for the role has absolutely exploded the last 4 years.
Most people that I know that had this choice chose MBB (have many SWE friends)
MBB.
I had maybe 3-4 classmates who had cross offers to both APM/RPM and MBB. Only 1 went with MBB. I'm pretty sure I would've gone with APM/RPM had I gotten it. The 40% pay cut for non-tech optionality isn't really that compelling.

Why do you think that having two good job offers is “privilege”?
