Me on my new project
I love when PwC throws me onto a busy season from October-January for a different market team so I can roll off in January and be on my busy season clients until April...second year in a row!!!
I've worked from home since March of 2020. I am nervous to go back to the office. I know it will be an adjustment to get to a hybrid schedule. But... I'm also really relieved. I think that WFH has negatively impacted my marriage. I know things won't go immediately back to where they were pre-Covid. And I'm nervous about not seeing my toddler as much and how my dogs will do. But I'm excited for this new chapter.
Made my first substantial deck today with almost entirely my own content (thoughts, findings, etc) for a client session. I know it’s not a big deal but excited to present it tomorrow 😊
Just accepted an offer from a former client at an exciting company - Joining the corporate strategy team after 5 years in consulting post mba. I doubled my comp in cash before equity - which is flattering / exciting - but also a lot of pressure … a bit worried they expect me to come in and be a wizard. Any tips / advice?
I have approx 6 months of experience in Web development with MERN stack in an startup and also I'm working as a customer support intern to maintain my daily expenses. Thank you, Abhishek Verma 8073132809
I just tried to open my hotel room by pressing unlock on my rental car keys. Send help.
Ever heard “omg how are you single, you are fit, handsome and successful”. Gets on my nerves every time. I would like to be in a relationship but dating as a gay man is wack. All about sex, and the times I’ve caught feelings for a guy it’s not been “exciting” for him anymore as the “chase” is over. Apparently being available is a turnoff. And the comment “come on, you can get whom ever you want”..........
I haven’t received any marketing emails from Tuck after I applied and interviewed. Anyone else experiencing this? Hoping this isn’t a bad sign
How much work is a manager supposed to do if they’re allocated 50% on the project? I feel like I’m doing their job and mine.
Any recommendations for a private cook in Cabo San Lucas? Looking for good simple fresh Mexican food for 3 dinners and 2 lunches for 6 adults in our penthouse kitchen. Prefer this over going out to eat given we will have a full kitchen.
Has anyone left a job where you made a really high salary because you were unhappy? I make over 300k with stocks as a product designer right now which I can’t imagine making anywhere else...But I am unhappy with the design culture and toxic leadership. If you left somewhere similar, do you regret it?
Looking to get a few certifications, I have worked in both IT and HR consulting and am trying to decide between ITIL, SHRM, and PMP. Any thoughts on which would be best for future, quickest to get, hardest test? I get the cert paid for and a bonus upon completion, so trying to decide which one to pursue or the order if I want multiple.
Is Herman Miller really worth $1k? Trying to justify it to myself… WFH all day every day so think a nice chair would be cool, but having trouble stomaching the cost
I’m back to having no billable work again. My department almost completely dried up when covid started, so I’ve been relying on work from other busy departments at my firm to keep me busy since March. I feel like I start a new job every couple of weeks and am constantly begging for work. I’m just exhausted. Can anyone else relate?
How quiet is your home office environment? I am in a corporate practice and need quietness to read documents. I live in a courtyard facing apartment. Some people don’t mind noise but I constantly hear street noise, noise in the hallways and there are college students that live in the building. I complain about the noise all the time but my wife thinks I’m being unreasonable.
