PwC 1 here Re: Friday intern debauchery Bringing this back to the top for RSVP purposes. Looking at Craft for around 6:30 on Friday though reservations are looking challenging. That said, I’d like to think I’m a fish of my word so come hell or high water, our intern is getting their drinks 😤
Since I'm an intern, I stay to myself and keep quiet. I've seen a lot of interns say whatever they're thinking even if it's not appropriate but others seem to be okay with it. Is my playing safe ok?

Is it stupid of me to apply to LS consulting firms with little experience in business? My only intern experience has been at a local pharma business. Other than that, most of my experiences are in a clinical setting.

My CDs and ACD have taken something my other intern partner and I created and passed it off as their own work. Normally I'd be cool with it, but the applause they're getting is for connecting with poc

Welcome! What is your favorite part(s) of living in Boston or the surrounding area? For me it’s the culture, sports teams, and the history.
Is it feasible to make a jump from BizOps to TAS? No accounting experience. One of my good friends says his team is aggressively hiring because they are desperate for talent and he would be able to get my foot in the door. I’m a finance major who has only had consulting/industry experience, but if they’re actually paying what he says they are then it’s a no-brainer for me to jump if given the opportunity - I’d just be worried about failing without a CPA/truly relevant work experience.

I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Looking to apply to EYP strategy as a senior associate/consultant. I have 2YOE in consulting (across EY and boutique) and a masters in accounting. Would anyone within the practice be able to give me an overview on the type of projects the practice sells, the type of work I’d be doing in my role, and any insights on the interview cycle? Haven’t applied yet, so a referral would also be appreciated (help me get you a referral bonus!)

I am applying for a job at a consulting firm and it seems like the role I am applying for is a step down for me. I am really interested in moving from my current organization but wondering if I should first go through the process for the role advertised and then try to elevate it or rather bring it up front during the initial discussions with HR/hiring manager. Thoughts?
